In the Name of Allah , the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

"O Lord, Accept this from us (service); You are the one who hears all and
knows all." (Qur'an, 2: 127)

"O Lord, make us both Muslims (submissive to You); and make our
descendants a nation that will be Muslims (submissive to You). Teach us
our rites of worship and forbear our shortcomings; surely, You are the
Acceptor of repentance, the Merciful." (Qur'an, 2: 128)

"Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and
defend us from the torment on the fire!" (Qur'an, 2: 201)

"Our Lord! Fill our hearts with steadfastness, make our steps firm, and
help us (give us victory) against the unbelievers." (Qur'an, 2: 250)

"Our Lord! Lay not on us the kind of burden that we have no strength to
bear. Pardon us, Forgive us, Have mercy on us. You are our Protector,
help us against the unbelievers." (Qur'an, 2: 286)

"Our Lord! Do not cause our hearts to deviate now after you have
guided us. Grant us Your own mercy; You are the Grantor of bounties
without measure." (Qur'an, 3: 8)

"Our Lord! You will surely gather all mankind before You on the Day
about which there is no doubt; surly Allah does not break His promise."
(Qur'an, 3: 9)

"Our Lord! We sincerely believe in You: please forgive our sins and
save us from the agony of the Hellfire." (Qur'an, 3: 16)

"Our Lord! We believe in what you have revealed and we follow the
Apostle; then write us down among those who bear witness."(Qur'an, 3: 53)

"Our Lord! forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that
transgressed our duty; establish our feet firmly and help us against
those that resist faith." (Qur'an, 3: 147)

"Our Lord! You have not created this in vain. Glory to You! Save us from
the punishment of Fire." (Qur'an, 3: 191)

"Our Lord! Those to whom You will cast into the Fire will be in eternal
shame: and there shall be no helper for such wrongdoers." (Qur'an, 3: 192)

and save us from the shame on the Day of Resurrection; for You never

"Our Lord! Send us from heaven a table spread with food that it may
mark a feast, one of a kind for those before us and for those after us, as
a sign from You; and provide us our sustenance, You are the best Sus-
tainers." (Qur'an, 5: 114)

"Our Lord! We have wronged our souls. If You do not forgive us and
have mercy on us, we shall certainly be of the losers." (Qur'an, 7: 23)

"Our Lord! Do not let us suffer at the hands of unjust people, and deliver
us through Your mercy, from the nation of unbelievers." (Qur'an, 10: 85, 86)

"O our Lord! Truly Thou dost know what we conceal and what we
reveal: for nothing whatever is hidden from Allah, whether on earth or in
heaven." (Qur'an, 14: 38)

"Our Lord! Cover (us) with Thy Forgiveness me, my parents, and (all) Believers,
on the Day that the Reckoning will be established!" (Qur'an, 14: 41)

"Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he
transgress all bounds." (Qur'an, 20: 45)

for You are the Best of those who show mercy!" (Qur'an, 23: 109)

"Our Lord! Ward off the punishment of hell from us, for its punishment is
atrocious. Certainly it is an evil abode and an evil resting place;"

"Our Lord! Make our wives and our children to be the comfort of our
eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous." (Qur'an, 25: 74)

"Our Lord is indeed Oft-Forgiving Ready to appreciate (service)."
(Qur'an, 35: 34)

"Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all things, in Mercy and Knowledge.
Forgive, then, those who turn in Repentance, and follow Thy Path; and
preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire!" (Qur'an, 40: 7)

"Our Lord! that they enter the Gardens of Eternity, which Thou hast
promised to them, and to the righteous among their fathers, their wives,
and their posterity! For Thou art (He), the Exalted in Might, Full of
Wisdom. And preserve them from (all) ills; and any whom Thou dost
preserve from ills that Day,- on them wilt Thou have bestowed Mercy
indeed: and that will be truly (for them) the highest Achievement."
(Qur'an, 40: 8, 9)

"Our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who embraced the faith before
us and do not leave any malice in our hearts towards the believers. Our
Lord! Surely You are the Kind, the Merciful." (Qur'an, 59: 10)

"Our Lord! In You we have put our trust, to You we turn in repentance
and to You is our final goal." (Qur'an, 60: 4)

"Our Lord! Make us not a (test and) trial for the Unbelievers but forgive
us our Lord! You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." (Qur'an, 60: 5)

"Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and grant us forgiveness, for You
have power over all things." (Qur'an, 66: 8)

"Our Lord! Send salutations upon Muhammad and the family of
Muhammad in the manner that You sent salutations upon Ibrahim
and the family of Ibrahim . You are the Praiseworthy, the Majesty.
"Our Lord! Send Blessings upon Muhammad and the family of
Muhammad in the manner that You sent Blessings upon Ibrahim
and the family of Ibrahim .You are the Praiseworthy, the Majesty."
(Bukhari, Muslim)








"Glory to thy Lord the Lord of Honor and Power! (He is free) from what
they ascribe (to Him)! And Peace on the Apostles! And praise to Allah
the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds." (Qur'an 37: 180, 181, 182)



"O Most Merciful of (all) those who show mercy." (Hisne-Haseen)

Kalimat (statements) Articles of Faith

There are six Kalimat (statements) which Muslims believe in each


statement is called a Kalimah. (Declaration of the Faith)

The first Kalimah Tayyab



There is none worthy of worship besides Allah (Subhaa-nahu Wa-Ta'ala)
and Muhammad (Sallallahu-Alayhi Wa-Sallam) is the Messenger of Allah
(Subhaa-nahu Wa-Ta'ala).

The second Kalimah Shahaadat

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah He is alone, He has no
partner and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and
Messenger.

The third Kalimah Tamjeed






Glory be to Allah and All Praise be to Allah there is none worthy of
worship besides Allah and Allah is the Greatest. There is no power
and might except for Allah the Most High and the Most Great.

The fourth Kalimah Tauheed







There is none worthy of worship besides Allah , Who is alone. He has
no partner. For Him is the Kingdom and for Him is all praise. He gives life
and causes death and He is ever living and never dies. He is Majestic
and Benevolent. In His hand is all good and He has power over ever
thing.

The fifth Kalimah Istighfaar
















I seek forgiveness of Allah , my Lord of all sins and mistakes, done
intentionally or unintentionally, secretly or openly. And I repent to Him for
sins I know of and also sins that I am ignorant of indeed. You are the
Knower of all of the unseen, the Coverer of human weaknesses and the
Forgiver of sins and I have no power to save myself from sinning and no
power to do good but with the help of Allah , the Most High and the
Most Great.

The sixth Kalimah Radd-e-Kufr

O Allah ! I seek protection with you from intentionally associating any
partner with you, I beg your forgiveness for the sins I am not aware of. I
repent for it and make myself free of disbelief and polytheism (making any
partner for Allah ), the falsehood, the backbiting, the innovation, the
tell-tales, the bad deeds, the slandered (false accusation), and the
disobedience all of them. I accept Islam and believe and declare that there is
no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah .

Iman-e-Mujmal

I believe in Allah (as He is) with all His Names and Attributes and I
accepted all His orders. I accept verbally and endorse this truth from the core
of my heart.
Iman-e-Mufassal

I believe in Allah , His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, in the Last
day (day of judgment) and in the fact that everything, good or bad is
decided by Allah the Almighty, and in the Life after Death.

Invocation
We are giving hereunder the exact respectable words in English with their Arabic
meanings. We should keep the honour of Allah , Prophets and Sahaabah karaam
(Companions of Prophet Muhammad )at the time of reciting.

Allah Subhaa-nahu Wa-Ta'ala



(The Exalted and the Great Allah)

(May Allah be pleased with him)
More than two Sahaabah (Companions) for men:

Radi yllaahu Ta'ala anhum




(May Allah be pleased with them)
One Sahaabia (Companion) for woman:

Radi yllaahu Ta'ala 'anha




(May Allah be pleased with her)
More than two Sahaabia (Companions) for women:

Radi yllaahu Ta'ala anhunna




(May Allah be pleased with them)
Two Sahaabah (Companions) For men or women:

Radi yllaahu Ta'ala anhuma

Five pillars (Arkaan) of Islam

The name of our religion is Islam. It is built on five pillars called Arkaan
and they are as follows:

Kalimah Shahaadah Declaration of the Faith:


I bear witness that there is no god but Allah , He is alone, He has no
partner and I bear witness that Muhammad (Sallallahu-Alayhi Wa-
Sallam) is His servant and Messenger. Every Muslim must believe in
and declare this Kalimah.
Salah (Prayer):
It is obligatory worship performing Salah (Pray) five times a day. Prayer
offered five times a day either individually or in congregation
(al-Jama'at). When offering Prayer must be face towards Qiblah
(Makkah in Saudi Arabia). In order to offer the Prayer the clothes, body
& place of worship must have been clean.
Zakah:
Wealthy Muslims must worship Allah by giving a small amount
of their wealth to poor Muslims every year. Welfare contribution
obligatory payment of 2.5% of net wealth on the value of cash, gold
and silver jewellery.
Sawm (Fasting):
It is obligatory to fast during the month of Ramadhan the 9th month of
the Islamic lunar calendar. From dawn to dusk, Muslim refrains from
eating, drinking as well as not lying, swearing or other wrong doings.
Hajj Pilgrimage:
The performance of pilgrimage to Makkah between the 8th -12th Dhul-al-
hajj, the12th month in the Islamic lunar calendar. It is obligatory once in
a lifetime on those Muslims who can afford it by the means of health
and wealth.

Islam is a religion of peace. It is a perfect and true religion. It teaches us


all the good things of this world and the hereafter It tells us to do good
and stops us from evil It also shows us how to live in this world in peace
and harmony with everybody else.
