Manhours For CS Piping Erection Including Fitup

Manhours were calculated for erecting carbon steel piping including fit-up of two 6-inch pipe spools, each 4 meters long, at an elevation of 10 meters. The total manhours required were 80.4 hours for erecting 48 inspection marks of piping. This equates to 1.7 manhours required per inspection mark. Activities included scaffolding, rigging and placing the spools, bevelling pipe ends, alignment, tack welding, and a 20% contingency was included.
