Book Scissors and Paper


My school has many books. I am very careful with my scissors.
Every book has a cover. My thumb and fingers go through
A book folds open by its spine. the holes in the handles.
There are many paper pages I close the handles to make
inside each book. the blades close around the hinge.
Each page is filled with words. The blades snip the paper.

Pen and Pencil Crayons and Markers


I write with pens and pencils. Crayons and markers let me draw
Pens are filled with ink. with rainbow colors.
A pens cap keeps the ink inside. Crayons are made of wax.
A pencil has a sharp lead tip. The wax has a paper wrapper.
The other end has an eraser Markers are like big, colored pens.
in case I need to fix mistakes. Markers and pens have caps.

Paints and Paintbrush Backpack


I can paint in rainbow colors. I carry my books in my backpack.
My paintbrush has a long handle The straps go over my shoulders.
and bristles to hold the paint. The backpack sits on my back.
I dip my paintbrush into the jars. I can pick it up by the handle.
The jars are full of paint. I can zip the pockets closed
My paints come in many colors. with the zippers.
