    Assessment of the on-bottom stability of pipelines subjected to


    environmental loads (DNVGL-RP-F109, 2017)

    Given:
    A subsea pipeline was designed to transport gas from an offshore platform in a water
    depth of 100 m to an onshore gas plant. The pipeline is to be designed for lateral and
    vertical stability criteria as per the recommended practice DNVGL-RP-F109.
    Problem:
    Verify the design of the pipeline using the stability criteria recommended by DNV,
    including
    the absolute lateral static stability method (40 points),
    the generalised lateral stability method (40 points) and
    the vertical stability method (20 points).
