Over half of all Syrian refugees are children. Of this number, some 75 per cent are under
the age of 12. Children represent 52 per cent of the total Syrian refugee population,
which now exceeds 2.2 million. The majority live in Syrias neighbouring countries, with
Jordan and Lebanon combined hosting more than 60 per cent of all Syrian refugee
children.

Biro Misi Kemanusiaan has dedicated its services in numerous situations, aid missions
were sent to refugees like palestine, syria, myanmar (rohingya) and somalia. The unit
has also experience involving in natural disasters reliefs such as tsunami, heavy flood,
earthquake and volcano eruption.
Since March 2012, approximately 3 years ago, Syria has been in a state of turmoil, one
described as the worst humanitarian crisis of the century. Until now, 250,000 lives have
fallen victim to a savage civil war while more than 6 million others became refugees within
Syria and neighboring countries such as Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.
UNHCR estimates that tens of billions of US dollar is needed to rebuild almost all major cities
in Syria. In the name of humanity, HALUAN is playing an active role within the international
NGO circle in consistently channeling humanitarian aid to the affected refugees in and
outside of the war-stricken country.
HALUAN will relentlessly continue to channel humanitarian aid and assistance to those in
need as its prime responsibility. Our deepest appreciation and gratitude to all generous
donators who have helped bring a smile to thousands of Syrian refugees. They will bear
witness to our refusal to be silent in betrayal.
Winter proved to be the hardest challenge to the syrian refugees living in improper
shelters. Severe cold weather has impacted greatly on the survival of these refugees
especially among childrens.
Started in 2013 Biro Misi Kemanusiaan HALUAN realised the importance of aiding syrian
refugees throughout the winter season. By 2014 a dedicated campaign was launched
to sending humanitarian aid during the winter season. This campaign known as Warmth
For Syria has impacted many refugees throughout the years of its establishments until now.
2016 2015
The latest brutal attacks against the population in the city of Aleppo (Halab),
Homs and the outskirts of Damascus, Syria has impacted a greater number of civillians
to lose their access to bacis amenities. Winter which starts from November and ends in March
each year is certainly the most difficult time faced by every Syrian refugees.
They really need the help of a heater, blankets, winter clothes and food in addition to the
medical treatment. This year Biro Misi Kemanusiaan HALUAN targets to send more aid in
February/March before the end of winter. The last aid were sent in November/December
2016, during the beginning of the season.

Value for the assistance is estimated at RM200 per family (5-6 members/family).
