    ADOPT A RIVER

    The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization shall adopt a river in their locality which
    they can rehabilitate and/or protect from abuse and misuse.

    Project Title: Pasuquin Picnic Area

    Location: Pasuquin River, Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte

    Owner: Municipality of Pasuquin

    The concept of this developmental plan is to build picnic areas in the Pasuquin River. This
    project include picnic cottages, walkways, swimming areas, garbage disposal area, toilet and
    changing rooms.

    A number of issues should be identified. Trees should be preserve and if possible avoid cutting
    them. Some part of the river should be excavated to give swimming areas to the picnickers.
    There should be garbage disposal areas where picnickers can put garbage. It is important to
    maintain the cleanliness of the place. It is also important to secure the safety of the people and
    the environment.

    This developmental plan has been prepared in accordance with the Department of Environmental
    and Natural Resources (DENR) and Pasuquin Municipal Rules and Regulations.

    A process of public consultation was undertaken in the form of public consultation in the form of
    a public meeting and opportunity for written submission. The objective of the public consultation
    process was to achieve consensus for the future development of the Pasuquin Picnic Area.

    This project will provide place where family can bond, enjoy and have fun. This place is
    affordable for everyone. The people will enjoy without destroying mother nature.

    ADOPT/DEVELOP A FOREST

    The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization shall identify an area to be


    adopted/developed as forest and planted with native, endemic and indigenous species of trees,
    including fruit trees.

    Project Title: Malasin Mini Park

    Location: MalasinPuyupuyanPasuquin, Ilocos Norte

    Owner: Barangay Puyupuyan

    The concept of this developmental plan is to build a mini park in the SitioMalasin of Barangay
    Puupuyan, Pasuquin. This project include tables, chairs, hiking area, fishing area, picnic area,
    and mini garden.

    A number of issues should be identified. Trees should be preserve and if possible avoid cutting
    them. It is also suggested to plant more trees, including fruit trees. It is also suggested to put
    garbage can where the people can put their garbage. It is important to maintain the cleanliness of
    the place. There are some rules to be implemented just like littering, cutting of trees, and
    destroying the property of the Malasin Mini Park.

    This developmental plan has been prepared in accordance with the Department of Environmental
    and Natural Resources (DENR),PasuquinMunicipal Rules and Regulations and Barangay
    Puyupuyan Rules and Regulations.

    A process of public consultation was undertaken in the form of public consultation in the form of
    a public meeting and opportunity for written submission. The objective of the public consultation
    process was to achieve consensus for the future development of the Malasin Mini Park.

    This project will provide place where family can bond, enjoy and have fun. This is very
    convenient for the people. This Mini Park is good place to relax and offers an array of fun
    activities for the whole family, and for all ages.
