We love the month of November because it kicks off our Preschool Holiday Fun! We spent
the majority of the month talking about Thanksgiving, Turkeys, and what it means to be
Thankful! In addition to the many learning activities based around those themes; we read
books, sang songs, and made beautiful art work.
The week of Thanksgiving was a short week, but a very busy one! We started off the week
with Pajama Day. The kids and teachers wore PJs to school, we watched A Charlie Brown
Thanksgiving and even had a snack just like in the movie. Who doesn't love toast, popcorn,
jelly beans, and pretzels!? Tuesday was our Annual Ohio State vs. Michigan Party.
Everyone wore their team colors, we played "football" games, and had pizza for lunch.
Each child got to vote for weather The Buckeyes or Big Blue would win the Big Game! On
Wednesday, we held a Thanksgiving Feast. Each child contributed something to our
delicious spreed! Thank you to all of the parents for bringing in food and to those who
helped out in the classroom! All of your time and efforts are greatly appreciated by the
students and staff!
After returning from Thanksgiving break we received a Gingerbread Man straight from the North Pole. Ginger Jinglebells brought
along two Santa Cams to help our friends make green choices at school. Throughout the week we read different versions of The
Gingerbread Man as well as several other books about Gingerbread. On the last day of his visit, Ginger Jinglebells "stole" our
gingerbread cookies and sent us on a hunt around the building. After following all of
the clues, we were able to eat out delicious cookies!
We had several special visitors during the month. We "played" with Coach, listened to
the banjo with Banjo Bob, and enjoyed storied read by Karen Salzgeber and Doris
Rowbotham. The kids loving have special guests in the classroom. If anyone else is
interested, please feel free to contact the preschool!
As we head into December, we will be busy practicing for our Christmas Program
which will be held on December 13th at 6pm in the Sanctuary!

Our students are always busy playing, learning, and working hard!
