RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR CULTURAL EVENTS STRIDE17
GROUP DANCERULES AND REGULATIONS
One entry per college.

Song duration should be 6-8 minutes for each performance. Negative marking for exceeding the
time limit.
Each team may have 8-10 members.
Choice of songs is open to the participants.
The participants are requested to bring their songs in 1 CD and 1 pen drive to avoid technical
issues. Out of which, they are also requested to submit either of that to the coordinator of the
event.
No properties will be provided by the event coordinators. Participants can carry their own
properties.
The participating team is responsible for removal of their sets / properties etc., immediately after
the completion of their performance
The participants will be judged on the basis of their rhythm, formation, synchronization,
expressions, and costumes, makeup, setup and overall effects.
Decision of the judges will be final and binding.
GROUP SONG RULES AND REGULATIONS
One entry per college.

A team of 6-8 participants.
Minimum time is not less than 6 minutes and not more than 8 minutes
Time for stage / instruments setting is maximum 5 minutes.
Choice of songs is open to the participants.
The group can consist of all boys or all girls or combined.
Participants must bring their own instruments.
Judgment is on the basis of quality of singing only and not on make-up, costumes and actions of
the team.
QUIZ RULES AND REGULATIONS
Each Institute can send 1 team of 3 persons

There will be a written preliminary round and teams will be selected for the final.
Finals will be oral with audio- visual questions.
The specific rules regarding evaluation procedure, time to reply a particular answer and the type
of round will be given before the actual start of the competition.
The decision of Quiz Master will be final regarding the correctness of the answer.
The Quiz will be based on the general physiotherapy syllabus
MIME RULES AND REGULATIONS
One entry per college. Each team can have 8-10 members.
Theme: Activity for life
The act should not contain any dialogues and lip sync.
No act shall contain any offensive, obscene, disrespectful actions or gestures. The act will be
immediately stopped and the entry will be disqualified, if these instructions are not followed.
Act should emphasize creativity, effectiveness and positive themes (bonus marks will be
awarded for original scripts written by participants).
Points will be given marks on the basis of innovation, depiction of the situation, team work and
expressions.
SHORT FILM RULES AND REGULATIONS
2 entry per college. And 2 participants in each team.

ONLY Short Films should be submitted NO DOCUMENTARIES
The films shall not be more than 5 minutes, including the beginning and end credits. Films
exceeding this time limit are liable to be rejected.
Films submitted previously to any other festival will not be considered for this contest. If found
later, will be disqualified for the contest/prize withheld.
The films may be shot in MPEG4.
PHOTOGRAPHY RULES AND REGULATIONS
3 entry per college

The original images should be at least 3 MB in size as winning images will be printed and
exhibited.
The panel of judges will evaluate the images based on the following criteria:
- Artistic/visual appeal.
- Extent to which the photograph captures the essence of the theme.
Images that have won prizes in prior competitions, or have been used for commercial purposes
and/or been published will not be eligible.
The images will be selected by a panel of judges and their decision is final.
MEHANDI
2 entry per college (2 members in a team, 1participant, 1 model)

Theme: Indian traditional designs
Team event (2 members participant will draw and the model persons hand will be used for the
art)
Certificate will be issued only for the participant not for the model
Participants have to carry their own materials.
Time 45 minutes
FACE PAINTING
2 entry per college (2 members in a team, 1participant, 1 model)

Team event (2 members participant will draw and the model persons face will be used for the
art)
Certificate will be issued only for the participant not for the model
Time 45 minutes
ESSAY WRITING
2 entry per college
