upgrade of a base station using a Universal Serial Bus (USB)

Clock Synchronization Modes

An eNodeB supports the following types of external clock sources:
Global Positioning System (GPS) clock
IEEE 1588 V2 clock
1PPS+TOD clock
PPS is short for pulse per second, and TOD is short for time of day.
If an eNodeB fails to obtain clock signals, it works in free-run mode for a

certain period of time
