    PROCEDURE
    Introduction ( 3 min.):
    Hook/Attention Grabber: Alright so we have now come to finish the novel. If you guys haven’t finished it, then
    unfortunately you’re gonna be spoiled.
    So first off, I’m going to hand back your quizzes from Tuesday. They were really well done for the most part. Good
    job guys.
    So I want you guys to come up and collect your quizzes, and we are going to go over the questions.
    Body (_44_min.):
    Learning Activity #1: Quiz answers
    Go over each questions and my expectations for the answers. If anyone has deeper questions about the quizzes, please let me know
    after class. Quizzes will be handed back in to me, unless Marison is there to write her quiz.

    Learning Activity #2: Mockingbird symbol consolidation


    Now I want you guys to take out your mockingbird sheet from yesterday. So this is what we are going to do with it. I
    am going to call the class up to write their characters on the board. If the character is not already on the board, I want
    you to first write the name of the character. Please try and not have the same character up there more than once, one
    section is enough. Then under that name, make some jot notes of how they connect to the mockingbird. The jot notes
    could be why the connect or the event. The quote will likely be too big so unless it’s a short sentence, don’t add it.
    When you have added your ideas, I want you to then flip your page over, and write a couple notes for each character.
    Don’t write the entire board, just a couple notes how they connect. Once you are done this, please sit back in your
    seats and get a blank piece of paper out with a pencil.

    Learning Activity #3: Ending four sides activity


    Ask the class to see how many people got confused by the ending. The last couple chapters have a lot of implied
    meaning that’s hard to pick up on the first reading, so were gonna have a survey of interpretations of the ending. Can
    we have the people who say that Jem killed Bob on the left side of the room, people who say Bob accidentally killed
    himself on the right side, and people who say Boo killed him in the back.

    Learning Activity #4: Slide show


    Alright so lets go through what happens here in the last few chapters. Make sure you have your notes ready.

    Does everyone understand why it makes sense that Boo killed Bob Ewell?
