BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS

AND FALSE TEACHERS

In 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 we read 13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an
angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of
righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Jesus Christ said in Matt 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the
Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will tell me in
that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your
name do many mighty works?” Jesus replies to them “I never knew you. Depart from me, you who
work iniquity.“

So what is the will of his Father? Jesus said in John 6:40 “This is the will of the one who sent me,
that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him
up at the last day."

What will the FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE TEACHERS try to teach you?

 Theirs is the only one true church and you can't get to heaven unless you join their church.
Jesus said “And I also say unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church;
and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.” Matt 16:18.
We who believe are baptized into “one body” (1 Cor 12:13) which is his church. (Eph 1:22, Col
1:24)
Jesus said in John 14:6 “I AM the way”.

 They say you can't understand the bible unless you read and study their books.

In the bible we read (“But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my
name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.
John 14:26), 16:12-15

Jesus said “I AM the Truth”. John 14:6,

 They say you cant have eternal life unless you join their church.

(And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name (than that of Jesus
Christ) under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. Acts 4:12)

 They say you have to do certain things or believe certain things or you just wont be accepted
into heaven.
Read Ephesians chapter 2, especially verses 8 and 9 which states “For it is by grace you have been
saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no
one can boast. “

 They say you can become a god.

That's what the devil told Eve in the garden of Eden and that's why the world is in such a mess now.
In Isaiah 43:10 God says "You are my witnesses, and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you
may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will
there be one after me”.
But we can become sons of God. John 1:12 says “But as many as received him, to them he gave the
right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name:”
There are conditions. One condition is stated in John 3:5-7. Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That
which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said
unto thee, You must be born again.

 They say that Jesus is just a good man or a prophet or a lesser god.

The high priest asked Jesus “Are you THE CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD?” Jesus answered and
said “I AM”. (Mark 14:61-62). When Moses asked GOD “what is your name” GOD said “I AM”.
Exodus 3:13-14. In Isaiah 9:6 it says, For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And
the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. In Hebrew 1:8 God himself called his Son, GOD
Revelation 1:17-18 shows that Jesus said he was “THE FIRST AND THE LAST”, GOD,
JEHOVAH. He was dead but now is alive forever.

 They say you must believe in their prophet and that God speaks through their prophet.
Hebrews 1:1-2 says “In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times
and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir
of all things, and through whom he made the universe”

 They say that Jesus Christ has already returned.

Jesus said in Matt 24:42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord
will come. And in verse 44 “you also must be ready, because the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) will
come at an hour when you do not expect him. In verse 26 He says "So if anyone tells you, 'There he
is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.” And in
Luke 17:23 ”Men will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them. For
the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one
end to the other.

Acts1:9-11 Jesus was taken up while those who had gathered together were watching, and a cloud
took him out of their sight. While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, two men in
white robes stood right beside them. They asked, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up
toward heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come back in
the same way you saw him go up into heaven.” And in Revelation 1:7 Look, he is coming with the
clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him;

Have you seen him?

The Apostle Paul warns in Galatians 1:6-9 “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the
one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no
gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the
gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the
one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say
again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be
eternally condemned! Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to
please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. I want you to
know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. I did not receive it
from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

As you can see it is important that if you want to know the truth you must be like the Bereans in the
bible, who studied the scriptures daily to see if these things are true. Acts 17:11.

Don't have a blind faith. Don't just believe something because it sounds right. Don't believe me or a
priest or a preacher or an elder just because they should know the truth. Check it out for yourself.

Now you don't have to be a goodie two shoes, wear a suit, carry a bible and say “Praise the Lord”
all day to be a christian. You don't even have to go to a temple, but you do need to hang out with
other Christians who can help you.
