USC Direct Store Supplies Project 2018

Introduction:
In the end of April 2018, a meeting was held at USC head office between USC Officials and DFL
management at USC head office. That meeting was concluded at a decision of a joint venture for
Ramadan 2018 supplies at store level throughout Pakistan. Initially it was considered difficult and
unachievable, but we took it as challenge and achieved our target of 2000 shops supplies.
SWOT Analysis:

 Strong Brand Image  Strong influence of USC Management at supplies.
 Shortest Product Sale Cycle  Outdated SOP’s of USC Management.
 Efficient DFL Supply Chain  Delay in PO’s delivery from USC.
 Energetic & Active Sales Resource  Clash in transit damage adjustment at DFL
 Trust of USC Management at Dalda Brand. warehouses.
 Record of execution against each PO.
 Mismatch between available SKU’s at depot and

 Less resource of USC for payment processing.

Findings & Conclusions


USC direct store supply project was a great success & achievement of Dalda foods Limited
irrespective of its uniqueness and complexity. All assigned targets and deliverables was achieved during
the project. Some findings of the projects is given below:

o Helpful for both USC & DFL in sale context.


o Decreases stock distribution lead time and sale cycle.
o Efficient payment procedure was adopted in this project against typical procedure,
o Higher stakes & trust of USC Management at Dalda brand.
o Certain reforms required at supply chain level.
