    INSULATION TEST UP TO The Megabras MD-1000R is a smart, microprocessor-controlled,
    200 GΩ 1 kV insulation tester for up to 200 GÙ resistance measuring with 250 V,
    ]
    TEST VOLTAGES: 500 V and 1000 V test voltage. It is a portable, hand-held, battery-powered
    250 V - 500 V - 1000 V equipment. Due to its measurement principle (actual voltage and current
    readings) it is a "true megohmmeter" and so the accuracy of resistance
    ]
    SHORT CIRCUIT CURRENT: measurement is not affected by any test voltage error.

    Operation is very simple and user-friendly: just connect the leads,
    ]
    GUARD TERMINAL switch-on the equipment, select the test voltage and press the Test button.
    ]
    AUTO-RANGE Then the equipment automatically selects the most suitable range and
    shows the measured value in the 3½ digits display.
    ]
    PROGRAMMABLE TIMER
    In order to guarantee the operator safety there are no accessible
    ]
    PASS-FAIL TEST metallic parts. Output terminals are placed in the furthest and most
    ]
    LOW RESISTANCE AND protected area of the equipment. A light indicator shows high-voltage
    CONTINUITY MEASUREMENT presence and is switched-off when the capacities (both internal and

    external) are discharged up to reaching a safe value.

    pass-fail testing, with acoustic indication.
    Surface leakage paths may affect the measurement of high value
    insulation resistance. The use of the GUARD terminal permits to remove
    the effect of this current, substantially improving the test result.
    Due to its reduced dimensions and weight, power supply autonomy
    and mechanical resistance, this equipment is suitable for fieldwork.
