Chapter 10 - Electromagnetic Wave Propagation
Chapter 11 - Transmission Lines
Chapter 12 - Waveguides
Chapter 13 - Antennas

Objectives
 Understand fundamentals of Electromagnetic fields.
 Understand Maxwell’s equations.
 Understand wave propagation in free space and in different materials.
 Understand theory of transmission lines.
 Study some impedance matching techniques.
 Understand waveguide theory.
 Understand principles of Antenna.

Grading Policy
Quizzes and Homework 20%
Mid‐Term Exam 30%
Final Exam 50%

Homework and Quizzes


Homework will be assigned by Teaching Assistant on a regular basis, and quizzes will be given
in a random basis by both the teaching assistant and the instructor.
