Section 7.7.5.8 of the Air Operator Certification Manual (AOCM) sets out the requirements for CASA to be satisfied that
under the Act and regulations, an operator’s responsibilities are met in relation to managing the operator’s involvement
in Special Flight Permits, Permissible Unserviceabilities, Exemptions, Variations and Exclusions.
The Assessing Officer shall identity each element that has been assessed and considered satisfactory. Where an
element is not applicable (N/A), the reasons for the element being N/A must be recorded in the ‘Comments’ section of
this checklist.

Note: Each element must contain written procedures appropriate to the nature of the operation and complexity of
the organisation.
