1. State the population of your study. You should be able to do this in one to three
sentences. Include specific characteristics including age range, gender, location, and
any other identifiers that are unique and relevant to your population.
The population that I am going to study is that of men and women who are between 18
and 35 years. The location that I will be studying is Washington D.C metropolitan since
it is a good reflection of the other major metropolitans in the United States.
2. Describe your sampling strategy. Write at least one paragraph describing your
sampling strategy, how you would attempt to conduct your survey, and any potential
issues that might affect your survey results. You should use one of the following
techniques: random, stratified, cluster, systematic, or convenience. Your choice of
strategy should be based on the purpose of your survey and your population.
The strategy that I am going to use in my survey is going to be random sampling. The
reason I chose the random strategy is because I am interested in learning what people
from the different areas and localities of Washington D.C do regarding the subject of
the survey I would conducting. I intend to make use of a phone survey since I will be
surveying individuals from various locations of Washington D.C metropolitan.
