IMMIGRATION
REQUIREMENTS 2019
The Information below will guide you to successfully complete documents and
information required to lodge 408 Activity visas for your tour party.
If you provide the information below we can fill in the FORMS for you.
Please read carefully
CHECK LIST FOR DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
• Scan and email through passports: Passport photo and signature must be
clearly readable. Passport must have at least 6 months validity.
• Complete attached spreadsheet: list specific details of each member of tour

party. Declare if anyone has served in military or has a criminal record. If there is
a criminal record (even DUI) a letter of remorse must be submitted along with
clear scan of Police Certificate (no older than 12months).
• Read attached: Declarations 2019 – if any person in tour party indicates no to

any questions please notify us in writing asap. Additional paperwork will be
required per above spreadsheet.
• Read attached Declarations and Australian Values 2019 – each person in tour
party must indicate yes to each point listed. If anyone indicates no to any of the
points please notify us in writing asap,
• Signed Declaration pages (form 956a): Signatures must match passport

signatures, electronic signatures are not accepted (1 copy of each page per
person) Please have each individual print their name or initial next to signature.
We do not need any original documents. All documents should be scanned and
emailed through. Form 956a – sign Question 29 ONLY, tick appointment.
• Medical Insurance Certificate: Medical insurance coverage for each individual

is MANDATORY. Travel Medical insurance must be valid for Australia or
Worldwide. The insurance must be valid for period of stay in Australia.
Travel Medical insurance certificate must list each person’s:

• Name in tour party,
• Must show issue and expiry date,
• Must show that it covers medical,

PERIOD OF STAY IN AUSTRALIA

Please advise entry and departure dates (in spreadsheet – it is recommended
that you add extra days either side in case of schedule changes). There are no
visa extensions and visa dates cannot be changed.
Your travel medical insurance must be valid for this time period. If you decide to
arrive earlier than this time you will need to apply for a tourist visa, then a
separate onshore work visa once in Australia. If you decide to stay longer you will
need to apply online for a tourist visa after your last show and before your work
visa expires. The process of applying for an ETA is available at

ARTIST LIAISON STAFF (SECURITY/BODYGUARDS)

It is a requirement that people working as security or bodyguards must obtain
licenses to perform this type of work in each relevant state/territory.
However if personnel are listed as artist-venue liaisons or security consultants
they may obtain entertainment visas.
CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS
Applicants for 408 Activity Visas must declare if they have any criminal
convictions (even DUIs). Applicants must also declare if there are any pending
charges against them that have not had a sentence or outcome decided by a
Court.
Please advise asap if there are any criminal convictions.
If the matter relates to a criminal conviction, provide:

• the date and nature of the offence
• full details of the sentence
• dates of any period of imprisonment or other detention
Immigration require an overseas penal clearance certificate, or overseas police check as

they are sometimes known, from each country where an offence has occurred or where the
applicant has stayed in for at least 12 months in the last 10 years since turning 16 years of
age. A letter of remorse is also required from anyone who has had a conviction. The letter
of remorse must be written by the individual describing the events leading up to and during
the offence. Individual must list date of the offence and date of the conviction (if
convicted).Your letter should include a personal account of the events leading up to and
including the offence. You should include the reasons for the offending
behaviour. Please include full details of any sentence or penalty imposed.
'Sentence' includes any form of determination of the punishment for an offence. Your letter
should include whether a fine was imposed (and the monetary amount), whether a period of
imprisonment, detention, periodic detention, or home detention was imposed (and for what
period of time), whether a sentence or suspended sentence involving, for example,
community service or a good behaviour bond was imposed (and for what period of time), any
details regarding probation periods,or electronic tagging. If you are subject to a probation
order or conditional sentence, written permission from relevant authorities stating that there is
no impediment for travel.
Immigration will require a clear scan of a penal clearance certificate from an overseas
country’s government or law enforcement authority. Certificates valid for 12 months only from
date of issue. If a USA resident they must provide a state police certificate and FBI report.

Processing time: The processing time to obtain an Identity History Summary

through an approved channeller is approximately 5-7 days. The time to obtain an
Identity History Summary through the FBI is currently 14-16 weeks. If obtained
on-line, and the document is certified and legible, an original is not
required.

VISA CANCELLATION
Immigration may cancel visa if an individual has displayed violent or threatening
behaviour/language whilst in Australia.
ADDITIONAL BAND/CREW
If you need to add additional band and or crew to the tour party and or replace a
current tour party member, a NEW visa application must be lodged. There must
be enough time for immigration to process the new application. New processing
fees will be incurred. Please advise asap if there are any changes to tour party.
NON-WORKING PERSONNEL
Spouses, Partners, Nannies, Children, Label,

APPROVALS/COVERED PERFORMANCES
You will receive approval letters prior to your arrival into Australia. Please check
that the details are correct and ensure that the tour party travel on same
passports submitted with application.
Please note that the visas will only cover the performances for Promoter/Sponsor
shows. Any promotional performances, club performances, appearances, DJ
Sets MUST be approved by Promoter/Sponsor and included in the visa
application. Failure to do so will mean an unauthorized performance will be noted
on the individual file at immigration and will impact their ability to obtain another
entertainment visa.
Please note that the visas are electronic, no visa stamp/embassy visit required.
You can carry a copy of the visa letter with you as back up but it is not
mandatory.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU CHANGE PASSPORTS OR DECIDE TO

TRAVEL ON A SECOND PASSPORT YOU MUST ADVISE US ASAP
AND SEND A SCAN OF THE NEW PASSPORT SO THAT
IMMIGRATION CAN AMEND THEIR RECORDS. OTHERWISE YOU
MAY EXPERIENCE DELAYS AT THE AIRPORT AND MIGHT BE
REFUSED ENTRY
