DON’T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF

One thing about being healthy is about loving one-


self and being motivated. No one can go to the gym and get
the body they want instantly, no one can eat healthy for a
day and be completely well balanced with their nutrition for
the rest of their lives. Loving yourself is not only about
spoiling yourself and letting yourself do whatever you want,
loving yourself is being patient with yourself, understand-
ing your situation and also pushing yourself so that you can
be the best you. It’s loving yourself enough to know your
self worth, your value, testing your limits, challenging your-
self and just continuously striving for better and for suc-
cess. However, one should never be too hard on themselves.
Being hard on yourself and not being patient is only contra-
dicting what self love is all about. Yes, push yourself, but
don’t bully yourself. Know that you are only human too,
and that you are a unique individual that is trying to be the
best you that you can be.

WORKING OUT/FITNESS

We’ve talked about our mental health, our diet and


even more about self love to be a healthy well balanced per-
son. Now let’s talk about fitness.
Although most people believe that the only possible
way to be physically healthy is going to the gym, that is in-
correct. If one does not enjoy going to the gym, one can pick
up a physical activity or hobby that pushes them to be more
physically active. Although going to the gym can work on
your muscles and make you stronger, yoga can work on
strength as well, cycling can work on cardio and speed,
swimming can do just as much, boxing, dancing, whatever
it is. Weight lifting is not the only option that one has.
However, if someone wants to go to the gym to work
on every part of their body to be stronger, but doesn’t have
the confidence to go there alone, or have the money to af-
ford a trainer, then what is suggested is to try doing certain
work outs at home with at-home equipment substituting
the equipment at the gym so you can work on your form
and confidence. Working out and physical activity is so im-
portant for a person to be physically healthy. It releases en-
dorphins!

ways, my academics, my relationships and has given me a
purpose. We are all needed, we are all wanted, we are all
unique and our own individuals. Show the world who YOU
are.
