The mission of Power n Core is to provide safe, effective, and fun recreational and workout

Our vision is to enhance the quality of life through creating a community culture and providing
New Jersey and includes an indoor pool, track, two open gyms, three group exercise rooms, a
The main entrance of the facility is an open area with tables and spaces to sit and relax.
There is also the main desk directly in front of the four double wide entry doors. On both sides of
the front desk their are swipe stations for members to swipe their membership cards.
The fitness center is 6,000 sq ft located in the upstairs of the facility which is filled with a
variety of fitness equipment. It has fitness machines including treadmills, stair stepper, elliptical,

bikes, as well as lifting machines that target a variety of muscle groups. The fitness facility also
includes, open mats with foam rollers and resistance bands for ab and core work, two TRX bands
for muscular endurance, kettlebells, dumbbells, and bench presses. There are five sanitizing
whips located around the corners and in the center of the fitness facility for people to wipe down
machinery after they use them. The equipment is evenly spaced in rows with walkways in
between each row so that patrons can easily move around the gym without being harmed by any
of the equipment.
The cycling studio is a smaller narrow space located in the back right side on the first
floor of fitness facility. The room consists of 25 stationary bikes for participants and one
instructor bike located at the front of the room on an elevated platform, so that the instructor can
easily be viewed by the patrons. The bike are lined in rows with space in between for patrons to
easily walk in a out of the bikes. Patrons will be able to enter and exit through one main door in
the cycling studio that leads out to the hallway. When patrons enter the door they will
immediately see the fitness attendentent desk where they will be asked to initial a sheet of paper
to make sure that the correct number of people are taking the class.
The aerobics room are right next to the cycling studios located to the front right side of
the facility. These rooms are rectangular rooms with wooden floors and mirrors surrounding the
walls. They have ceiling fans lining the ceiling for climate control and various exercise
equipment stored in the back closet of the room. All three aerobics rooms have fitness attendant
desks located by the front door to initial their names before entering the class.
The two open gyms are located to the left of the first floor of the facility, and include
eight basketball hoops, along with wooden floors and an open space for people to have
recreational games in. The boot camp classes are also held in the gym, with a large closet for a of

the fitness equipment. The pool is rectangular shape and located next to the gym with four
swimming lanes. There are two lifeguard stands at each end of the pool. The pool will be mainly

Fitness Supervisor
As a fitness supervisor, it will be your duty to oversee the entire facility including all the the
fitness and wellness programs and services offered at Power ‘n Core.
Qualifications:
- 4+ year bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science or of a related field

Fitness Coordinator
In this coordinator position you will be responsible for overseeing the entire group exercise
schedule, instructors, personal trainers, and group exercise rooms.
Qualifications:
- 4+ year bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science or of a related field
- Recommended 2+ years of experience in the fitness industry
- Positive attitude, and strong leadership skills
- AED/CPR/First Aid Certified
- Nationally certified group exercise and personal training certification

Personal Trainer
As a personal trainer here at Power ‘n Core, it is your responsibility to work one-on-one with a
client or in a group setting to motivate our clients to live a healthier lifestyle.

Civility
Civility is defined as having a conscious awareness of the impact of one’s thoughts, actions,
words and intentions on others. In order to maintain civility in the workplace, Power’n Core
employees must maintain a good attitude, great communication and respect.
Gossip
Power’n Core is committed to maintaining a comfortable, non-judgemental and stress free
environment for its employees. In order to maintain this commitment, all employees of Power’n
Core must avoid gossiping in the workplace.
Workplace gossip can cause a host of problems. Workplace gossip may cause
miscommunications or misunderstandings, which in turn could lead to missed deadlines, work
errors, and unhappy clients and customers. In order to avoid these issues, employees of Power’n
Core should make a commitment to:
1. Not speak or insinuate another person’s name when that person is not present unless it
is to compliment or reference regarding work matters.
2. Refuse to participate when another mentions a person who is not present in a negative
light.
3. Choose not to respond to negative email or use email to pass on private or derogatory
information about any person in the agency.
4. Choose to talk about problems in the workplace with those other than employees of
Power’n Core.
5. Report any person who does something unethical, against procedures or disruptive to
the proper authorities.

Sexual Harassment
Power’n Core is committed to providing a safe environment for all its employees free from

Power’n Core will operate a zero tolerance policy for any form of sexual harassment in the

Termination Policy

Minor Injuries
- Ask the individual about the nature of the injury
- Administer first aid as appropriate
- Complete the Accident/Injury Report found at the equipment desk
- Call for emergency assistance if needed
Fire
- When the fire alarm sounds, call 9-1-1 and immediately evacuate the
building
- Have patrons exit the building using the emergency exit doors and gather
across the street away from the building
- When given the all clear to re-enter the building, make sure the front desk
staff are the first back in the building
- Have other staff direct the patrons on where to go and maintain
order in the line
- For a minor fire, use a fire extinguisher directed towards the base of the
flame:
- Pull the pin
- Aim at the base of the fire
- Squeeze the trigger
- Spray until extinguished
