INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL BANKING
DIGITAL BANKING: A New Era of Fast Convenient and Secured Banking

 Digital banking is the move to online banking where banking services are delivered over the
internet. A digital bank represents a virtual process that includes online banking and beyond.
 As an end-to-end platform, digital banking must encompass the front end that consumers see,
the back end that bankers see through their servers and admin control panels and
the middleware that connects these nodes.
 The reason digital banking is more than just a mobile or online platform is that it includes
middleware solutions.
 Middleware is software that bridges operating systems or databases with other applications.

INDIA ON THE WAY TO DIGITIZATION

 India represents one of the largest market opportunities for digital payments.
 With a population of 1.25 billion, India accounts for approximately 18% of the global population.
 Less than 50% of India‟s internet users will adopt digital payments by 2020, with the top 100 million
users driving 70% of the digital payments Gross Merchandise value (GMV).
 Ease of doing payment is one of the key factors of users to move towards digital payment.
 90% of the UCO Bank customers are untouched in Digital banking.
 It provides us immense opportunity to reach such customers for being a digitally recognized Bank.

BHIM UCO UPI
 Manage all your Bank Accounts under one single App: “BHIM UCO UPI”!
 Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a new payment system on NPCI platform
ABOUT:- that allows transfer/collect of money across Banks using single app.
 UPI is the extension of the current IMPS. Unlike existing payments systems, in UPI
you can Payment (Send) and Collection (Ask) money without sharing your
Banking credentials like Account number, IFSC Code, Mobile Number etc.
instead using only Virtual Payments Address (VPA).

 Download & install the BHIM UCO UPI Application from Google Play Store.
 Open the App and verify the mobile number through auto SMS. Select the
REGISTRATION registered mobile number/SIM>“SEND SMS”.
PROCESS:-  After successful validation, check the mobile number and proceed to
continue.
 Enter User details, set log in pin and Proceed. Registration will be done.
 Login after entering the log in PIN. “Click on Manage Account” and select
Bank.
 Your name and Account Number will be displayed. Continue and confirm/set
the Virtual address and Save.
 You can add your other bank accounts registered with the same mobile
number in “MANAGE ACCOUNTS”>”ADD ACCOUNT”.
 Send and Receive Money.
 Send collect request.

 24 x 7 Instant Service.
 Create your own Virtual Payment Address (VPA) and enjoy fund transfer or
demand funds using VPA only, without any other account details.

 Users get a 12 digit reference number for each transaction (NPCI RRN). This
reference number (NPCI RRN) can be used to track the status of transaction in
case of failure.

TRANSACTION  Per Day / Per Transaction limit is Rs1,00,000/-. Per day is counted in hourly cycle

REGISTRATION  Registration can be done using the option New Registration by providing your

 With our constant endeavor to provide our esteemed customers instant and
non-branch banking, E-Banking plays a vital role with trusted, established
platform over the years.
ABOUT :-  It is an extension of Mobile Banking, having wider fund transfer facility, tax
payment option.
 E-Banking is for corporate customers also.

Individual/Retail customers can register/reset passwords with a click of a


button, without the need to visit any of our branches.
 Please visit our website, “www.ucobank.com”.
 Click on E banking > New Registration / Password Reset.
 Provide the Account Number and One of last 5 Transaction amount & type.
REGISTRATION  View and click on “I agree with Terms & Conditions” checkbox and Then
PROCESS:- submit.
 You will be guided through the steps to Register and Login to our E banking
services.
 Please ensure that you have made at least one transaction through your
debit card before registering for E banking.
For corporate users, customers have to visit or request the branch to place a
request through IRPS, by filling up proper Application form, signed on the seal
by the authorized signatories.

UCO PAY + WALLET
 Bank has launched UCOPAY+ mobile application with Instant Online
ABOUT:- Account Opening features and in built Wallet.
 Available in Android and iOS.
 UCOPAY+ app intends to offer one stop solution for all UCO and non-UCO
users.
 One can open the wallet with limited KYC and later on, it can be
converted into Full KYC wallet.
 Wallet is as per the latest guidelines of the RBI.
 Download & install the UCOPAY+ Application from Google Play Store
(Android) / Apple Store (iOS phones).
REGISTRATION  Open the Application and enter your mobile number (customers/non
customers) and press submit.
PROCESS:-
 Fill in your Details, Email-Id, and Document for verification and Proceed.
 OTP will be sent to the mobile number you entered.
 Enter OTP and set your 4-digit MPIN & T-pin.
 Select secret question/answer and Proceed to log in.
 Non-KYC customer can avail the wallet only for Goods and services.
 KYC Complied customer can transfer the funds to UCO Accounts, wallet,
utility payments etc.
 If KYC not done in 12 months, fund loading will be stopped for Non KYC
FEATURES:-
customers.
 Never outstanding balance will be more than Rs. 10000/- for Non KYC
customers.
 Monthly Limit for KYC customer is Rs. 20000/-.
 Maximum Rs. 5000/- can be transferred in a day to UCO Bank account.
 Similarly Maximum Rs. 5000/- can be loaded from any Credit/Debit card in
a day.

UCO PAY + INSTANT ACCOUNT OPENING
 UCOPAY+ is especially useful for non-UCO customers as they can open instant
ABOUT:- online account without visiting branch.
 Once User has opened instant online account, he/she will be able to utilize
host of services on offer through UCOPAY+ including:
Integrated e-wallet, generate Virtual Private Address for a/c, online debit card
request, fund transfer, Bank‟s product information and more.
Users can open instant online account through UCOPAY+ app in less than 5
minutes by following simple steps as given below:
 To open instant online account using Aadhaar and PAN, user will click on the
STEPS OF option given at bottom of the home screen.
OPENING  User will provide Aadhaar number and PAN number.
ACCOUNT:-  Based on aadhaar number entered, UCOPAY+ will fetch user details from
UIDAI.
 OTP will be sent to mobile number linked with Aadhaar for verification.
 User will now enter PAN number.
 Confirm FATCA compliance, enter personal and nominee details.
 Instant account opening is complete. Account number & other details will be
displayed.
 Any UCO/non-UCO customer with valid Indian mobile number is eligible for
availing UCOPAY+ mobile application services. However, to open instant
online account, user must not have used his/her Aadhaar/PAN to open UCO
SALIENT Bank account.
 Instant online account opened through UIDAI based OTP will be a limited KYC
FEATURES account, in which customer cannot have a credit balance of more than 1
Lakh.
 Overall cumulative deposit in such an account cannot exceed 2 Lakhs, unless
full KYC process is completed.
 User will have to give confirmation that he/she has not used the OTP based
Aadhaar (e-KYC) verification to open any other bank account.
 The customer opening instant online account through UCOPAY+ will have to
complete full KYC by visiting his nearest Bank branch/ and providing his
biometric details within 12 months of opening such account.
 By default all the A/c opened will be linked to DD Block (1870), which can be
transferred to any Branch of the Bank by completing KYC.

 In order to enable our customers to keep track of their accounts “on the go”,
UCO Bank has launched UCO M Passbook, where customer can view all his
ABOUT:- accounts in one single application.
 It is a digital pocket passbook which enables the customers to update it anytime,
anywhere and also to refer the same in OFF-LINE mode.

 Download and install the “UCO m Passbook” app from Google Play Store/Apple
REGISTRATION store.
PROCESS:-  Open the app and register your Account Number and Registered mobile
number.
 Enter the OTP received in your mobile.
 Enter and confirm the Login PIN.
 Login and enjoy your digital Passbook 24X7 (Both online and offline).
 User has the option to view UCO m-Passbook application in 12 languages
including Hindi & English.

 The Application is simple yet empowered with many features such as creating
SALIENT your own ledger, analyze your spending, share your account statement over
FEATURES:- email and many more.

 All accounts linked with single customer id can be viewed.

 To use m-Passbook, customer does not need to register for Mobile Banking.

 After Registration & synchronization of accounts, m-Passbook can be used offline


as well, that means, without Internet Connection. Balance will be available as on
„last synchronize date‟. Date and time of last synchronization is available at
home screen.

USP:-

 For internet and mobile banking customer needs to have SB/Current account,
but for UCO m-Passbook, apart from SB/Current account holders, customers with
only Loan account can also register. This means UCO m-Passbook application is
available for Loan accounts exclusively also.

 Bank‟s own Micro ATM Solution with the product name “UCO Sarathi” was
formally launched on 2nd November 2015.
 Micro ATMs are actually upgraded version of Point of Sales (PoS) terminals
ABOUT:- through which a bank can remotely connect to its core banking system
using debit card/Aadhaar.
 Micro ATMs are Hand Held Devices used by Business Correspondents
which are fitted with card swipe machine as well as a fingerprint scanner.
 Micro ATMs are capable of posting banking transactions through internet
connection wherein cash handling in done by the operator of machine
i.e. Bank Mitra (Business correspondence).
 These Micro ATM Device, contains two units;
DEVICE DETAILS:- 1. Base unit comprising of one 7” Android Tab, Fingerprint Scanner, and
Thermal Printer, all fabricated on a single PVC unit.
2. Another unit is PAX PIN PAD device which shall be used to securely
entering RuPay Debit Card PIN number during transaction.
 Aadhaar based login system along with fallback arrangement - OTP
based login.

 With the increasing number of digital banking channels, there is also
an increased risk of fraudsters gaining unauthorized access and
performing unwanted transactions without knowledge of customer.
 While there are many ways to block digital banking service, all are
ABOUT:-
scattered and facility to control all channels at one place was
desired by customers.
 UCO Bank thus came up with UCO Secure solution offering
complete control solution in the hands of customers anytime,
anywhere offering complete peace of mind.
 Download and install the “UCO Secure” mobile App from Google
Play Store/Apple store.
REGISTRATION  Open the App, enter your registered mobile number and proceed.
PROCESS:-  Enter Account Number and any one of the last 5 transactions and
Type, and Proceed.
 Confirm and select the customer name. Register via OTP or Debit
Card.
 Enter OTP received in your mobile (in case of OTP registration) or
Debit Card Details (In case of Debit Card Registration)
 Set Login PIN and Register Successfully.
 Login and Secure/manage your Digital Banking as per your
requirement 24X7.

 In case, any ADC service is not required, customer can instantly


disable any of the given ADC services without making any call or
visiting branch.

BHIM AADHAAR-PAY
 BHIM-Aadhaar Pay, as part of Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS),
allows the customer to perform a purchase Transaction.
 For our Bank the entire process of BHIM Aadhaar Pay is regulated through
an App “BHIM Aadhaar- UCO Bank” which is available in “Google Play
Store”.
ABOUT:-  The “BHIM Aadhaar-UCO BANK” App allow merchants to accept the
Aadhaar of the customer as a payment instrument and the use of Biometric
authentication by a Biometric Scanner.
 Merchants willing to onboard themselves on Bank‟s Platform need to enroll
through the App and visit Home Branch for Final Approval process which
includes Biometric Device Handover after mapping of the same with the
Merchant.
 Merchant Account will be credited on (T+1) day for a successful
Transaction done on this platform.

 Merchant downloads the app: “BHIM AADHAAR – UCOBANK” from Google


Play store.
 Merchant Registers by filling up the details such as Aadhaar Number, Date
of Birth, Merchant Name, etc., asked in the merchant registration page.
MERCHANT ON
 After successful enrolment, a success message will be displayed,

prompting the merchant to visit the branch with requisite documents.
PROCESS  Merchant submits the KYC Documents, Merchant on boarding Application
IN BRIEF:- Form, to the branch and Executes the BHIM AADHAAR PAY Merchant
agreement.
 Branches/ ZOs will login to BHIM AADHAAR portal at
https://bhimap.ucoonline.in:9894/ipay
 After login BO/ZO will approve the merchants pending for enrolment and
will assign the device ID.
 Post device allocation: For Mantra Device, Merchants will install “Mantra
Management Client” and “Mantra RD Service”
 For Precision Device, Merchants will install “PB510 RD Service” available in
Google play store.
 Merchant will login to application with Biometric/user id & password
verification.
 After successful sign in/login merchant can accept payment from
customers through AADHAAR PAY Menu.
MERCHANTS  For Usage of BHIM Aadhaar Pay, Merchant needs to have an OTG
ACTIVITIES IN Compatible Handset with them.
REGISTRATION  Only OTG Compatible Handsets will be able to detect the Biometric Scanner
PROCESS:- once connected to it.
 Handsets like VIVO, OPPO, REDMI and other SAMSUNG sets are compatible
with Biometric Scanner detection. For OPPO/VIVO, OTG has to be enabled
manually from Settings menu in Handset.
 For other Handsets OTG compatibility can be checked by installing Client

Application of Biometric Scanners and finally by “Capture Test” of Biometric
by using Fingerprint.
 For Mantra Device, Merchants have to install “Mantra Management
Client“and “Mantra RD Service. For Precision Device, Merchants have to
install “PB510 RDService” available in GOOGLE PLAY STORE.
 For Precision, Once Connected Device will automatically detect and will ask
for “Allow access for the Device” and final display will be “Device Ready to
MERCHANTS Use”.
ACTIVITIES IN  For Mantra, once connected the Management Client App will show as
REGISTRATION “Public Device Connected”.
PROCESS  If the Handset is Compatible with OTG, then Merchant can proceed for
Enrolment by downloading “BHIM Aadhaar – UCO Bank” from PLAY STORE
and proceed for Enrollment.
 Merchant must have a Current/Savings Account, Aadhaar Number for Sign-
Up.
 If Merchant doesn‟t have Account with UCO Bank and wish to open a
Current/Savings then the same can also be handled at Branch Authorization
Portal by entering the Account Number after opening of the same.
 After Sign up from Merchant End is Successful, then Branch will verify the
details along with Account Number and assign a Biometric Scanner after
mapping of the same through the portal:

 Merchant will then Download the Client Application based on the Biometric
Scanner assigned and get their device registered at UIDAI for the first time.
 Merchant will then finally complete the “Auth 2.0” Registration during their

Number and finally Authenticate by providing Fingerprint as Biometric.
 After Success for “Auth 2.0”, Merchant is now ready to accept Payments
from Customers in this platform.
 Branch will login to Authorization Portal https://bhimap.ucoonline.in:9894/ipay
 User ID will be Sol Id and for Password contact ZO/HO.
BRANCH  Branch can check whether any enrolment is done or not by entering the
ACTIVITIES FOR Name/Registration ID in specified fields as shared in the image.
MERCHANT  If registration is done, values will be populated with exact details as entered
ON- by the Merchant.
BOARDING:-  Branch needs to recheck each field details specially Account Number since
Payment will be done to the same on (T+1) day.
 If the Merchant doesn‟t have any account, and have selected as “Do you
wish to open a new Account” in the App, then Branch will have to enter
Account Number after opening of the same.
 Branch will select the Device Type based on the scanner (FPPRE for Precision,
FPMAN for MANTRA), enter the “Device Serial Number”, change the Remarks
field to “Approved” and update the Status to “Assign Device and Approve”.

 Finally click on “SUBMIT” button to complete the Authorization Process.
 Page will be displayed as “Merchant has been approved and now he can
do Transactions”.

BENEFITS  The Entire process of making payment in this platform is fully digital and
OF BHIM customers need not to carry any physical cash while making payments to
AADHAAR Merchants.
PAY:-  Customer can select any Bank Account based on the Merchants Terminal
Application in which his/her Aadhaar is seeded.
 BHIM Aadhaar Pay was basically launched to cater small payments from
customers at Merchant Terminals.

INCENTIVES  From Merchants point of view, to promote Aadhaar Pay, NABARD has
launched an incentive scheme for Merchants wherein 0.5% of transaction
TO
value will be paid to Merchants under FIF scheme.
MERCHANTS:-  Minimum and Maximum Incentive is capped at Rs 2/- and Rs 50/- for a single
Transaction.
 To Receive an incentive of Rs 2/-, Merchant must accept payment of more
than or equal to Rs 25/-
 MDR will not be recovered from the merchants till existing NABARD incentive
scheme under FIF is operational till 31-03-2019.
 As per MeitY, MDR won‟t be recovered from Merchants, for Transaction value
of less than or equal to Rs 2000/- till year 2019.

 For UCO Customer disputes in BHIM Aadhaar Platform, while making


GRIEVANCE payments at other Bank Terminals are also handled seamlessly.

BHARAT QR (QUICK RESPONSE) CODE
 A QR code consists of black squares arranged in a square grid on a white
background, which can be read by an imaging device such as a camera.
It contains information about the item to which it is attached.
ABOUT :-  NPCI jointly worked with International card Schemes to develop a common
standard QR code specifications.
 BQR is Person to Merchant (P2M) Mobile payment solution.
 Payment Using BQR enabled Mobile banking Application/wallet:
 Merchants need to display QR codes in their premises.
 User can scan these QR via BQR enabled mobile banking app and pay
using Card linked account / VPA / IFSC + Account / Aadhaar.
 Bharat QR transactions are different from POS transactions. In POS
transaction, POS terminal is required whereas in Bharat QR transaction, QR
BHARAT QR & Code is required.
POS:-  Using mobile banking app or wallet user will scan the QR Code placed in
merchant outlet and make the payment using the RuPay /VISA Card linked
to the BQR.
 UCO Bank offers the following digital banking products with QR Code
UCO BANK QR facility:
CODE FACILITY Mobile Banking (BHARAT QR), BHIM UCO UPI and UCOPAY+.
PRODUCTS:-  Customers/Merchants can make/accept payments using QR code facility
in these apps.
 Open the “BHIM UCO UPI” Application in your Mobile Phone.
 Enter your 4 Digit Mpin and LOGIN.
PROCESS TO  Select “SCAN & PAY/ GENERATE”
GENERATE QR  “SCAN & PAY / GENERATE” Screen will appear.
CODE IN BHIM  Select “Generate QR Code” and select OK.
UCO UPI  “QR Code Generator” Screen will appear.
 Touch on “GENERATE”. Please note that Amount is Optional. QR Code may
be generated without the amount.
 QR Code can be generated as both Image file and PDF file.
 Please select the desired Option from “Share as Image File” or “Save as PDF
File” and Select “OK”
 QR Code will be generated.
 Take a Print out and display at Merchant Outlet.
 There is option to share the QR Code to others and may also be saved as
PDF File for Taking Print outs.

UCO SMART PAY
 In order to provide best online services Bank have introduced Smart Pay
option to pay school/college/university/hostel fees online (Certain specific
institutions only).

 Customers just need to visit Bank‟s website – Go to UCO Smart Pay option –
Select Institution – Fill details – Make payment through Debit Card/E-banking
ABOUT :- etc.

 Under this Module following three options will be available:

 Offline Payment at UCO Bank branches.

 Online Payment using UCO Bank e Banking

 Online Payment using UCO Debit card.

 Branches and Zonal offices need to review the existing and new Institutions
account and approach the Respective Authorities to tie up with UCO Bank for
MERCHANT ON the integration of Fee Collection Module.

Process:-  On acceptance from the Institution, branches will escalate the process to HO
DIT through their respective ZO.

 The integration will be done by HO DIT.
