Digital banking is the move to online banking where banking services are delivered over the
internet. A digital bank represents a virtual process that includes online banking and beyond.
As an end-to-end platform, digital banking must encompass the front end that consumers see,
the back end that bankers see through their servers and admin control panels and
the middleware that connects these nodes.
The reason digital banking is more than just a mobile or online platform is that it includes
middleware solutions.
Middleware is software that bridges operating systems or databases with other applications.
India represents one of the largest market opportunities for digital payments.
With a population of 1.25 billion, India accounts for approximately 18% of the global population.
Less than 50% of India‟s internet users will adopt digital payments by 2020, with the top 100 million
users driving 70% of the digital payments Gross Merchandise value (GMV).

Download & install the BHIM UCO UPI Application from Google Play Store.
Open the App and verify the mobile number through auto SMS. Select the
REGISTRATION registered mobile number/SIM>“SEND SMS”.
PROCESS:- After successful validation, check the mobile number and proceed to
continue.
Enter User details, set log in pin and Proceed. Registration will be done.
Login after entering the log in PIN. “Click on Manage Account” and select
Bank.
Your name and Account Number will be displayed. Continue and confirm/set
the Virtual address and Save.
You can add your other bank accounts registered with the same mobile
number in “MANAGE ACCOUNTS”>”ADD ACCOUNT”.

User has the option to view UCO m-Passbook application in 12 languages
including Hindi & English.
The Application is simple yet empowered with many features such as creating

To use m-Passbook, customer does not need to register for Mobile Banking.

For internet and mobile banking customer needs to have SB/Current account,
but for UCO m-Passbook, apart from SB/Current account holders, customers with

BENEFITS The Entire process of making payment in this platform is fully digital and
OF BHIM customers need not to carry any physical cash while making payments to
AADHAAR Merchants.
PAY:- Customer can select any Bank Account based on the Merchants Terminal
Application in which his/her Aadhaar is seeded.
BHIM Aadhaar Pay was basically launched to cater small payments from
customers at Merchant Terminals.
INCENTIVES From Merchants point of view, to promote Aadhaar Pay, NABARD has
launched an incentive scheme for Merchants wherein 0.5% of transaction

value will be paid to Merchants under FIF scheme.
MERCHANTS:- Minimum and Maximum Incentive is capped at Rs 2/- and Rs 50/- for a single
Transaction.
To Receive an incentive of Rs 2/-, Merchant must accept payment of more
than or equal to Rs 25/-
MDR will not be recovered from the merchants till existing NABARD incentive
scheme under FIF is operational till 31-03-2019.
As per MeitY, MDR won‟t be recovered from Merchants, for Transaction value
of less than or equal to Rs 2000/- till year 2019.

The new fee collection account will help our branches in selling the product
aggressively thereby increasing customer base on a consistent basis.
Master Creation of UCO Smart Pay module, its integration in Bank‟s software –
Finacle will be done by HO, DIT.
