Duration : 3 Hours Maximum :100 marks

1. Conduct load test on the DC motor in which flux is practically constant

and determine its performance characteristics.-series
2. Conduct load test on the DC motor in which flux is practically constant
and determine its performance characteristics- shunt

3. Conduct a suitable test to control the speed of the given DC shunt motor
by varying the armature voltage at constant field current and draw the
graphs.

4. Conduct a suitable test to control the speed of the given DC shunt motor
by varying the flux at constant armature voltage and draw the graphs.

5. Conduct a suitable test on the given electrical machine which works on

the principle of mutual induction and determine its efficiency and
regulation.

6. Conduct a suitable test on the given DC generator whose field winding is

excited by itself and hence determine its load characteristics.

7. Conduct a suitable test on the given DC generator whose field winding is

excited by itself and hence determine its load characteristics.

8. Conduct suitable tests to determine the parameters of the equivalent

circuit of a static machine and hence predetermine its efficiency and
regulation at half and full load.
9. Obtain the resonance frequency for a RLC series circuit.

10. State Kirchoff’s law and verify by conducting suitable tests.

11. Obtain the load characteristics of a three phase induction motor by

conducting suitable tests and hence find the efficiency and slip.

12. State Kirchoff’s law and Find the values of branch currents and
voltages for the circuit given.

13. Find the current through the load resistor by using thevenin’s
theorem. Also draw the Thevenin’s equivalent circuit.

14. Find the voltage across 48Ω resistor by using Norton’s theorem. Also
draw the Norton’s equivalent circuit.
15. Conduct suitable experiment to measure the power in a three phase
system by using two wattmeters for a Reactive load.

16. Obtain the transient response of RLC series circuit by digital

simulation.
