Design a chair based on the
requirements for the Andreu World 2018
furniture design contest.
Challenge
-The main materials to be used would
be Beech, Oak or Walnut.
-The final prototype would have to be
entered at a scale of 1:5.
Process
Full-scale cardboard
models were then
made to experiment
the fabrication
methods.
Based on the initial sketch, a 1:5 scale clay
model was sculpted to experiment forms.

the density and curvature of the chair.

Brief
Create a design to represent the Embassy During FICA, Embassies in Mexico participate
of Japan at the International Friendly in the Fair to promote their own culture
Cultures Fair (FICA) held in Mexico City. and many people visit to enjoy them.
Using inspiration from
Japanese screens, we
designed the Japanese
Pavilion.
Process
The booth of the Japanese Embassy promotes
Japan Design with the history of “Good Design
Award”, showing the contrast of “Past and Present”
of the product design with these graphic panels.

Brief
Redesign a tool that allows use without having to
make sudden movements. The redesign will include
materials and functions that give the tool a better
performance, applying organic forms to create an
ergonomic design as well as an aesthetic one.

of stainless steel with a capacity of
730 mL.
