Lesson Plan: Table Top Activity Measuring Length With Playdough Burrendah Primary School

This lesson plan outlines a kindergarten activity using playdough to teach students about measuring length. Students will break playdough into three pieces and use them to create snakes of different lengths - one long, one short, and one in the middle. As students complete the activity, the teacher will ask which snake is longest, shortest, and of intermediate length. The goal is for students to order the snakes by length and learn related terminology. The playdough activity is part of a larger kindergarten lesson on the letter E, incorporating a book read aloud and other center activities.
