In the world of business, sales and inventory report has one of the biggest roles in the

field of business industry. Recording data from past to present will calculate every

statement and will help in monitoring the status of the business. Manual data recording

of sales and inventory data are now a thing of the past. Indeed, the world moves

further and faster into a thriving technological age, so must the way we conduct our

business. We will develop Princess Nicole POS System to make the business easy to

manage. It calculates the sale for the day, month and year. And Inventory system

programs now on the market lets you track the usage, monitor change in unit cause,

calculate it when you need to reorder, and analyze inventory by item basis. It can even

control inventory right at the cash register with Princess Nicole POS System. Princess

Nicole POS System records each sale when it happens, and inventory record update

automatically. Larger businesses have been using POS systems for many years, and asa

result, they fully understand and appreciate the important benefits of POS systems to

Background of Study

A Princess Nicole POS System allows a business owner to have more than one

business location and adequately keep track of inventory at each without being

present. No more worries about employee theft or pricing inconsistency between

one location and another. The boss can be away and not worry about employee

theft. Employee efficiency can be maintained. Point of sale systems take care of

those problems that result when management isn’t present.A POS system can be

as important for a small business as for a large corporation. The key for a small

business is that the POS system needs to offer functionality and configurability to

flexibly address specific business needs and characteristics, and to enhance the

business’ connection with its target market– a true differentiator for the

business.

Significance of the Study

This proposed model will benefit the owner of the company and the customers. It will

lessen the processing time.Technology is moving business forward. If you’re a retailer

who refuses to upgrade your point of sale methodology, it’s quite possible you’ll be left

behind in a world of calculators, printed receipts and late night inventory checks. POS

systems provide retailers with a user-friendly means of bringing their company into the

21st century. Here’s how:There are three primary aspects to inventory management:

knowing how much you have, knowing how much you moved and knowing how much

you need. In the past, that kind of inventory tracking required a lot of counting,

balancing paperwork and guesswork. POS systems like Bind streamline the process and

do most of the work for you.

Scope and Limitation

Scope

The scope of sales is connected to the nature of sales. This is the way in which the

management teams go around ensuring that as many sales as possible are to make and

that there is to be a profit within the company to ensure that they are to be successful.

Limitation

The limitations of sales are different for many companies, however there are going to

be legal aspects that all sales teams have to ensure that they abide by and do not have

any trouble with. This is to ensure that the company is to be as successful as possible

and they are not to encounter any problems

Point of Sale (POS) Systems and Security

As Dr. Eric Cole (2014) mentioned in a recent SANS SEC401: Security Essentials

Bootcamp Style course, “2014 will be the year of the retailer”. Over the last

several months, several retail organizations have been victims of information

security breaches targeting consumer payment card data. The most notable of

these was the Target corporation breach. However, several other retail

organizations have also been victims of payment card data theft over the past

year to include Michaels Stores, Inc., Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc., and Neiman

Marcus (Harris, 2014; Tate, 2014; Zetter, 2014). This is certainly not an all-

inclusive list of retailers that have experienced payment card data theft in recent

months. There are several additional examples within retail as well as other

markets (e.g. Food and Beverage, Hospitality, Healthcare, etc.) (Identity Theft

Resource Center, 2014). However, the resources available to the breached

organizations compared to the level of bad actor success paints a picture that

more needs to be done to protect consumer payment card data.
