Her mother had found her diary and seen a page where Demi had drew herself as a
heavy person that she perceives herself as, and on the next page she drew a thin figure

One day, her mother had come across Demi’s personal diary, and she opened to a
page where Demi had drawn two pictures of herself: on the left was a heavier figure
with the caption “now,” and on the right was a thin figure with the caption “what I need to
look like to be a star.”

Writing Sentences
Many people do not realize the importance of medication safety as it pertains to taking
both prescription and non-prescription drugs, since many people take drugs
mechanically, people don’t realize the unseen dangers of taking two medications that
react with each other inside your body but this danger that is known as drug to drug
interaction: a horrible feeling inside that can also manifest itself on the outside of the
body as rash or hives, combined with a nauseous feeling, all stemming from a simple
mistake in the pharmacy, it is true that these kind of drug to drug interaction can happen
even when taking an herbal or vitamin supplement along with a prescription drug.

This changes the meaning slightly even though the sentences are the same.

“Slang Rebels”
● I think the writer did well in their rhetorical situation. They especially established
their ethos very well. Their tone of voice and use of research made them sound
educated and well versed on the subject. They stayed on subject, and only talked
about things relating to slang and language.
● They used an academic voice. Everything was clearly stated. All of their
paragraphs related back to their thesis. Their syntax was varied and interesting.
They used a lot of logos and ethos, and not much pathos, maybe none.
● Their in text citations showed me that they spent a lot of time researching on the
subject, and they actually care about it. The sources that they used seemed
scholarly and they paraphrased well. The work cited page at the end looked
correct and in alphabetical order.

We examine all the applicants’ academic records to determine whether they have

analyze the candidate's abilities. By using the Graduate Record Examination as a
supplementary objective check we assess their aptitudes and knowledge. Character,
promise, and scholastic attainment will also be considered. A personal interview is not
required.
