The Digital University of Kerala was launched in 2002 with the goal of providing access to higher education through online and distance learning programs. In 2018, the University Grants Commission permitted the Digital University to award degrees. Over 100,000 students are currently enrolled in various undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the Digital University. The University aims to expand its course offerings and help more students gain a quality education through flexible online learning options.
