Union Wage Data Report for Apr. 9 – Apr.

22, 2019

CONTRACT SETTLEMENTS: Apr. 9 – Apr. 22, 2019

The summaries below include changes in wages and benefits provided by recently ratified union contracts that
were added to Bloomberg BNA’s wage settlements database Apr. 9 – Apr. 22, 2019. Also included are previously
ratified contracts containing wage increases that have been “deferred” to this date range.

Major Settlements

• A five-year contract between the Teamsters and approximately 2,500 workers at Rhode Island Hospital
provides an increase of 3 percent in each year of the contract (see Nonmfg. - R.I.)

• Approximately 1,000 workers at Harley-Davidson have ratified a five-year contract with the Steelworkers that
calls for a 14 percent wage increase over the life of the contract (see Mfg. - Wis.)

(In addition to newly negotiated settlements, the table below lists deferred increases in wages and benefits that
recently took effect under previously negotiated contracts.)
Note: Deferred wage increases and benefit provisions in the table are those originally reported; midterm
modifications are not reflected.

MANUFACTURING

Multistate

Daimler Trucks North America—United Auto Workers; Georgia, North Carolina & Tennessee; 6-yr contract
ratified 7-2018 retro to 4-21-2018 expires 4-20-2024; covers approximately 6,000 workers at 6 manufacturing &
distribution facilities (1)

—DEFERRED INCREASE: 3% 3rd yr, 5th yr, 2% 6th yr; 4% lump-sum payment 2nd yr; 3% lump-sum payment 4th
yr, eliminates two-tier wage structure, new wage progression scale

Georgia

Tyson Foods—Food & Commercial Workers - RWDSU Southeast Council; Camilla; 3-yr contract ratified 4-13-
2019 retro to 11-8-2018 expires 11-7-2021; covers approximately 1,800 poultry plant workers (1)
