The simplest case is when two numbers are not too far
apart and their difference is even, for example, let one be
24 and the other 28. Find their average: (24 + 28)/2 = 26
and half the difference (28 - 24)/2 = 2. Subtract the
squares:
28·24 = 26² - 2² = 676 - 4 = 672.
Another example:
19·31 = 25² - 6² = 625 - 36 = 589
since 25 = (19 + 31)/2 and (31 - 19)/2 = 6.
If the difference is odd add or subtract 1 from one of the
numbers, compute the product as before and then subtract
or add the other number. For example,
37·34 = 37·35 - 37

= (36² - 1²) - 37

3)- SQUARE AND SQUARE ROOT OF 100 BASE

METHOD:-
EXAMPLE#1 (square and sqr of 100 base method)
96^2=?
STEP1:- In step 1 calculate number les than 100 as
number is 96 so it is 4 less than 100
STEP2:- Now multiply this less number as 4x4=16
STEP3:-Now subtract this less number from orignal
number i.e., 96-4=92 and write it to left of 16 result
obtained from 2nd step so 9216 is required answer

EXAMPLE#2 (square and sqr of 100 base method)

STEP1:- In step 1 calculate number les than 100 as
number is 91 so it is 9 less than 100
