ABLAZE: KEEP THE FIRE BURNING
Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live

without a spiritual life.
Mark 9:14-29
Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy
14 When they returned to the other disciples, they saw

a large crowd surrounding them, and some teachers of
religious law were arguing with them. 15 When the
crowd saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with awe,
and they ran to greet him.
16 “What is all this arguing about?” Jesus asked.
17 One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said,

“Teacher, I brought my son so you could heal him. He
is possessed by an evil spirit that won’t let him talk. 18
And whenever this spirit seizes him, it throws him
violently to the ground. Then he foams at the mouth
and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your
disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn’t do
it.”
19 Jesus said to them,[b] “You faithless people! How

long must I be with you? How long must I put up with
you? Bring the boy to me.”
20 So they brought the boy. But when the evil spirit saw
Jesus, it threw the child into a violent convulsion, and
he fell to the ground, writhing and foaming at the
mouth.
21 “How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked

the boy’s father.
He replied, “Since he was a little boy. 22 The spirit often

throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him.
Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”
23 “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked.

“Anything is possible if a person believes.”
24 The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help

me overcome my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that the crowd of onlookers was

growing, he rebuked the evil[c] spirit. “Listen, you spirit
that makes this boy unable to hear and speak,” he said.
“I command you to come out of this child and never
enter him again!”
26 Then the spirit screamed and threw the boy into

another violent convulsion and left him. The boy
appeared to be dead. A murmur ran through the crowd
as people said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by
the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up.
28 Afterward, when Jesus was alone in the house with
his disciples, they asked him, “Why couldn’t we cast
out that evil spirit?”
29 Jesus replied, “This kind can be cast out only by

prayer.[d]”
Nandoon na yung disciples, may kaguluhan, bakit kayo

nagkakagulo? May tatay, sabi niya, yung anak ko dinala ko
sa mga disciples niyo, napopossess ang anak ko.
It has robbed him of his speech. It has robbed him of his

voice.
If there is one thing that the devil wants to do in peoples

lives, , he wants to silence you!
John 10:10
10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.
My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
Ilanng tao na ang ninakawan ng demonyo ng kinabukasan?

Ng pangarap? Ng pamilya? Ninakawan ng boses?
Why voice is so important?
One of the things that make you a superior creature is that,

compared to other creatures.
theory of evolution, I cannot count on it, because the gap is
so wide, check niyo unggoy, ang layo ng gap. Language ng
monkey, nothing can compare to the language of human,
the intricacies of speech, the technicality of grammar, may
unggoy ban a nawrowrong grammar? Walang nilika ng
may kapasidad ng ganito. Oohhh.. aso… but think of what
you are capable of? Walang hihigit sa tao! Why? Because
you are created in the likeness of God!
Let there be light, God spoke to universe, lahat ng

dahil nagsalita ang Diyos. Let there be light, Genesis.
Kaya ganun rin kamakapangyarihan ang boses niyo.

Ganun ka powerful ang speech.
One of the first evidences of life is Voice. Pansinin mo

ang sanggol pag pinanganak, ang tanda ng buhay ang
sanggol, ay iyong iyak, iyong boses. Yung atungal niya.
Parang declaration yun sa buong mundo na “buhay ako”.
Tama ba? Nagwoworry ang drs kapag hndi umiyak ang
baby. If the baby is silent, pinapalo. But for all you know ito
yun eh. Minsan blessing din ang pag iyak eh, kasi tanda
lang iyon na buhay ka pa.
Posible kaya na all this time, the devil is trying to

silence you. Trying to rob your voice. Trying to rob you
your right to be heard. Di ba totoo naman na gusto nating
napapakinggan?
Why some people become insecure? Because sometime
in their life they have been told to shut up. Ssssshshhhh…
that pain, that bhurs has cause people to be silent. So
many people were silenced by pain. We were taught to just
suck it up. Kimkimin mo na lang. manahimik ka na lang.
Naiiyak ako sa mga taong nananahimik, dahil ang mga

nananahimik, nagiging biktima, naabuso. Why? The
devil is telling you, just don’t talk about it, kalimutan mo na
lang, lilipas din iyan. Its gonna cause you further pain.
Mapapahiya ka.
Ilang kabataan na mananatili na lang tahimik dahil

nabubully? They are turning out to be baggages, bumibigat,
kaya hindi ka ready eh.
Yan ang ginagawa ng demonyo sa Subic eh, patahimikin

mo iyan. Ngayon ang mga masasama ang mga maiingay,
ang mga mabubuti ang mga kristiyano, ayun pakanta kanta
na lang. patayin mo iyan. At yan ang ginagawa ng devil,

Yung batang sinapian, he has been robbed of his speech,

DEFENSE MECHANISM nila iyong pagiging maingay nila.
May mga tao maingay pero walang boses. Walang
substance. Sinusubukan nilang marinig sila pero alam
nilang matagal na silang walang boses.
Yung gusting gusto kong part ng worship, yung

naririnig ko iyong boses niyo. Tumahimik yung band, tapos
rinig na rinig ang boses natin, like wow. So majestic it gives
you goose bumps. Sarap pakinggan. But the devil tries to
rob your voice. Minsan ang ingay na kasi eh, kaya hindi mo
na naririnig yung sarili mo.
Nagseiseizure daw yung bata, paralyzed. Dinala ko sa

disciples mo pero wala silang nagawa. I love jesus reaction
“tinuro ko na sa iyo iyan” I can relate. CGL nakakarelate
kayo? Haler, tinuro ko na iyan sa’yo.
When the devil saw Jesus, nagwala, he fell into the

ground. Nagngalit. Noong nakita ni Jesus yung condition?
“how long he have been like this”? I Love this part.
Pwede Because it shows me the very heart of Jesus. You
see a man who feels for people. namang sabihin agad ni
Jesus na, in Jesus name get out! He felt the pain. Tinanong
niya yung tatay, tay gaano na siya katagal ganyan?
Ito ang tanong sayo ngayong gabi, GAANO NA KATAGAL

IYAN? GAANO NA KATAGAL IYAN? The hurt, the pain,
the sin, the lies, the bondage, the bitterness. Jesus was
not angry, he sees through your pain, he see through
your struggle. Hindi galit si Jesus. Gaano na katagal iyan?
Sabi noong iba, matagal tagal na rin….

Sabi noong tatay, since he was a child, binata na siguro
iyon. This man grew up without a voice, he grew up without
being heard, the devil silenced him.
Minsan ganun tayo eh… you say it best when you say
nothing at all. Minsan ganun na lang tayo eh, shut up na
lang.
22 The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water,
trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you
can.”
22“Gusto po siyang patayin ng masamang espiritu.

Madalas inihahagis po siya nito sa apoy at itinatapon siya
sa tubig. Subalit kung may magagawa kayo, kami po ay
kaawaan at tulungan ninyo.”
The devil is afraid if you discovered your voice. To be a

voice. That stir up hopes and passion,use your voice not to
curse not to gossip, but use your voice to inspire, use your
voice to save. Kaya ang masaya kapag tahimik ka, hindi
ka nagdidisciple, demonyo.
Sabi noong tatay, kung may magagawa kayo, help us.
Jesus said, everything is possible for one who
believes.
Hear me out: EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE FOR ONE

WHO WORSHIPS FERVENTLY.
You know why some people, lose their fight in them, iyong
mga nagpatalo, why? They STOPPED BELIEVING. They
don’t believe that they will improve anymore, they don’t
believe that they can do better, sumuko na, ayaw ng
maniwala.
Pero sasabihin ko sayo, napaka makapangyarihan ng

paniniwala. If you are to recover your speech your voice in
this life, you have to believe.
Because all things are possible to them who believe.

Possible lahat, walang imposible sa taong naniniwala. Yun
nga eh sobrang sakit na nung frustration, soba na yung
disappointment. Eh ano ngayon? Eh ano ngayon kung
sinabihan ka ng nanay mo na wala kang kwenta? Ng
teacher mo na bobo ka? Ng ex mo na pangit ka? Ang mga
salita ng ugok na iyan o ang salita ng Diyos?
Believe…
How the father respond? Lord, I do believe, help me

overcome my unbelief.
Im so impressed with the honesty of the father. Gusto
naman niyang maniwala eh, tulungan mo akong
maniwala… nagsstruggle siya eh… maybe hindi ito yung
first time na dinala niya yung anak niya sa isang
manggagamot, kaso wala, umasa lang, pinaasa, bigo…
the father was a the bottom of his faith. “Lord naniniwala
naman ako, tulungan mo akong maniwala”.
Maybe iyan ang praye mo, sa ministry mo, relationship,

we go through trouble, but this afternoon, I want you to
believe, it may be hard, you are struggling, but you don’t
have to worry, all you have to do is to ask the Lord to help
you believe once again, overcome my unbelief.
Matthew 12:20
20 hindi niya puputulin ang tambong marupok,

hindi rin niya papatayin ang apoy na umaandap,
hanggang katarunga'y hindi nagtatagumpay nang
ganap;
Hinipan yung kandila, may natitirang konting apoy.
Yung tatay, may natitirang kakaunting pag asa, may

konti pa siyang paniniwala.
Nauubos yung gatong na kahoy, the fire woud basically die,

what is left yung baga, parang wala na. may tubo siya,
kukunin niya yun, sabay yung baga hihipan niya, ang
behold, umaapoy.
Maybe some of you, under that pain, may natitira pang
kahit konti. Ihip lang iyan, you will see the fire of God.
Father we just want to thank you… the devils wants to rob

you of you voice, ambition, brink of surrender, God wants
to recover the fight in you. There is still hope, pwede pang
magbago because of jesus, today, God wants to recover
you.
Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not

go out. - Leviticus 6:13
Para sa mga sugatan, para sa mga nahihirapan nang

magpatuloy... may pag-asa. May pag-asa.
