Evaluation System
(a) Annual examination will be conducted covering the complete portion at the end of • he year where
maximum marks will be 80 and student need to secure min 27 marks (33%
to pass.
(b) Internal assessment marks distribution will be as follows : (students need to secure minimum 7
marks out of 20)
Note : This pattern will help the students get acquainted with the new system evaluation based on
complete portion taught.

3. As the CBSE affiliated schools are required to follow the NCERT syllabus in the upper pr stage,
uniformity in the assessment structure and examination in all the affiliated schools necessary from class
VI to VIII.
(i) Scholastic Area : The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII is of two i.e. Term-1
and 2 as explained below :

(ii) Subject enrichment Activities : These are subject-specific activities aimed at enhancing the
understanding and skills of the students. These activities are to be carried out throughout the first term
–end.
(iii)Languages : Aimed at equipping the learners to develop effective listening and speaking skills. The
language teachers may devise their own methods and parameters for assessment of the Languages.
(iv) Mathematics: Activities in Mathematics as suggested by the NCERT Syllabus and Text Books.
(v) Science : Practical work and activities in Science will be undertaken as suggested by the NCERT
Syllabus and Text Books.
(vi) Social Science : Map or the project work may be undertaken as suggested by the NCER" Syllabus and
Text Books.

4. Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes VI-VIII) : For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular
activities in the following areas be carried out in CBSE affiliated schools by the teachers and will be
graded term-wise on 3-point grading scale (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good and C = Fair). The aspect of
regularity, sincere participation, output ant teamwork be the generic criteria for grading in the following
co-scholastic activities :
(a) Work Education - Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful
to the community.
(b) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art).
(c) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.).
5. Discipline (Classes VI-VIII) : The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based
on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness respectfulness for rules and
regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on
a 3-point grading scale (A = Outstand' B = Very Good and C = Fair).
Promotion Policy
1. There is no system of double promotion.
2. Rank is awarded on class basis not on section basis.
3. Rank will not be awarded to those student who fail in one subject or absent in one subject or absent
in any test or exam.
4. Student who do not appear in first term, second term, examination due to illness or some unforseen
mishap, will not be eligible for the scholar badges or any proficiency award.
