disagreed. A prophet told the king what to do to win against Syria, and Israel won. Syria planned to
attack again, and another prophet warned Ahab, and once again Israel won. A prophet requested a
punch on face to disguise himself from king, and told him that his life would be lost due to him sparing
Syrian king instead of killing him as God had said.
II Kings 18:
• Hezekiah reigned in Judah and did right in the eyes of the Lord, despite his father being Ahaz, one of
the worst kings. He removed the high places and broke Moses brass snake that people would

• Hezekiah told the king that he did wrong and is willing to pay whatever amount he imposed. After
he paid, an army was sent against Jerusalem. The Rabshakeh tried convincing Judah to surrender,
questioning in whom they put their trust that they rebel against Syria. The commander also ridiculed
Judah for trusting a weak Egypt. They enticed them to surrender and in exchange, they’d receive
2000 horses and also tried to use demonic logic to stray from the Lord; he stated that the Lord was
in his side and that the Lord had said to destroy the land; and surrendering was what they should be
doing since its from God.

hear the conversation, but instead the commander purposively spoke louder in Hebrew to instill
