The rubric assesses student summative assessments across three criteria: content knowledge and understanding, use of evidence, and formal presentation and organization. For each criterion, performance is scored on a scale of 1-2, 3-4, or 5. A score of 5 represents an excellent demonstration in the criterion, 3-4 represents a good demonstration, and 1-2 represents a basic demonstration that could be improved.
