History of Harry potter
Harry Potter is a series of fantastic novels written by the British author J. K. Rowling, considered
one of the most important sagas in history. Actually the most read according to the Guinness Book
of Records. It describes the adventures of the young apprentice of magic and sorcery Harry Potter
and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, during the years they spend in the Hogwarts
School of Magic and Sorcery. The plot centers on the fight between Harry Potter and the evil
wizard Lord Voldemort, who murdered Harry's parents in a failed attempt to kill Harry, in order to
end the prophecy that cited his own death. Voldemort fails to end the life of Harry Potter, because
the latter, being protected by the love of his mother, manages to protect himself, and, at the same
time, acquire a relationship (talking both mentally and powers) with Voldemort. That's where his
lightning-shaped scar comes from (Rowling explained that the shape of this scar was only because
of its taste in lightning, it had nothing hidden behind it).

Some characters of Harry Potter
Harry Potter: is the main character and who gives title to the series. He is an orphan boy who lives
with his cruel uncles until on his eleventh birthday he learns that he is a magician and finds out
that when he was a year old, Lord Voldemort murdered his parents, and when he wanted to do
the same with him, the murderous curse he turned on himself, making him disappear, while Harry
only had a scar on his forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt. Later, he discovers that his destiny
is linked to that of Voldemort, and that he must be the one to avoid the resurgence of the "Dark

Ron Weasley: is the best friend of Harry Potter and, together with Hermione Granger, one of his
companions of adventures. He appears described as a tall and red-haired boy, who along with his
parents and siblings (who also have an important role in the series) live in "La Burrow". Ron lives in
the shadow of his five older brothers, in addition to Harry's own, which has generated several
discussions between them throughout the series.
Hermione Granger: together with Harry and Ron he composes the trio of protagonists. Although in
the first books his role is minor compared to that of the two boys, from The Prisoner of Azkaban
the development of his character grows and his skills are increasingly required. Hermione is very
intelligent and studious, and always puts logic and cold thinking before the courage of her
colleagues. From the fourth book implicitly exposes his feelings towards Ron, which will not be
clarified until the last delivery.
Ginny Weasley: she is the youngest of the Weasley brothers, and "Ginny appears for the first time
in the philosopher's stone, where she appears when Harry and four of her brothers go to
Hogwarts, and when she sees Harry excited to return in order of the school year At first Ginny has
little presence but as the saga progresses her character is gaining strength.
Neville Longbottom: is a pureblood Gryffindor student in the year of Harry. Throughout the series,
he is usually shown as a clumsy and disorganized character and a fairly mediocre student, although
he is very talented in Herbology. It is known later that in the prophecy that Voldemort listens and
for which he decides to kill Harry, Neville also fit in.
Albus Dumbledore: is the director of Hogwarts. He is considered one of the most powerful
magicians of his time and one of Harry's main mentors. The books usually end with a conversation
between Harry and Dumbledore in which the latter reveals details of the unknowns that arise in
the plot. In the sixth book he gives private lessons to Harry, teaching him about horcruxes. At the
end of this novel, he is killed by Severus Snape, leaving the magical world at the mercy of
Voldemort's second uprising.

and Lily Potter. She is the only person known to have survived the curse of Avada Kedavra that
was conjured by Lord Voldemort when he tried to kill Harry when he was a baby, which led to
Voldemort's first defeat and the end of the First Wizarding War, once orphaned, Harry is taken in
by his Muggle relatives, the Dursleys.
