METHOD STATEMENT

FOR DEVICE INSTALLATION OF CATV OUTLET


I. PURPOSE
1. The purpose of this Method Statement is to detail the procedures for the installation of
CATV outlet

II. SCOPE
1. The work under this Section includes providing all labors, materials, tools and equipment
necessary for furnishing and installing CATV outlet as shown in the drawings and standard
details.

III. REFERENCES
1. Latest approved “For Construction Drawing” and/or approved shop drawing mounting
details.
2. Technical Specification, Section 16715 Telephone and PABX System.

IV. PROCEDURES
1. Determine the exact location and elevation of CATV outlet based on the “For Construction
Drawing” and approved shop drawing details.
2. Check the corresponding box is free from wet surfaces or any other factor that can affect the
efficiency of CATV outlet. Strip off and terminate the wires to the F connector using crimper.
3. Mount the CATV outlet on the utility box.
4. Secure the product by tightening a mounting screw in front of CATV outlet.
