 The main parts of a seed are the cotyledon, epicotyl, hilum, hypocotyls,
radicle, and seed coat.

 Value: Proper disposal of fruit peelings, Proper way of using seed of the fruit you eat
 Materials: Different kinds of seeds, enlarged model showing the parts of the seed
III. Learning Procedure
A. Pre-Activity
1. Review
What are the different stages in the life cycle of a butterfly?
2. Motivation
Show different kinds of seeds. Let the pupils identify them in their
characteristics.
B. Activity Proper
1. Crossword Puzzle
C. Post Activity
1. Analysis and Discussion
2. Generalization
What are the main parts of a seed?
3. Application/Valuing
What can be done with the seeds of the fruit you eat? How about
the peelings of fruits?

IV. Evaluation:
Identify the numbered parts of the seed.
V. Assignment:
Soak mongo seeds overnight and bring them to class.
