Motivation Letter

I introduce myself as ex-student of MCS in Department of Information Technology Hazara University

Mansehra Pakistan. I am very interesting in applying for graduate degree in computer science. Since my school
days, I have been interested in Computer my scholastic record has been meritorious right through school and
higher secondary education. So I have done Bachelor of Science (B.SC) with attach computer subject in
WAPDA DEGREE COLLEGE Tarbela. After completing my 2 year of bachelor degree having first division I got
admission in the Department of Information Technology Hazara University Mansehra Dhodial where I stood
among Top 2 in IT Department, immediately after my graduation in enrolled in Directorate of information
Technology as Trainee web-developer where I have been primarily responsible for software life cycle, software
inspection related issues. Working in field at professional institute gave me an inside knowledge of software
creation and deployment and on hand experience as well Nowadays I am working as manager in Mian
Enterprises. As part of a larger team, I have undertaken several projects aimed at spreading knowledge about
the ills of Pakistan’s IT sector and have learnt and grown immensely in the process. Despite being part of the
corporate world, I have continued on my quest to seek answers to the questions that have plagued my
inquisitive mind since my freshman days at college.

Having spent the last 1 year as part of Pakistan’s worst hit sector, I have come to the grim conclusion that our
problem is not one of resource shortage but one of grave resource mismanagement. Policy makers in my
country have failed to foresee and plan ahead of the country’s growing demand for new technology. Our
policy makers have failed to come up with a viable plan to put our country back on the path to recovery.
Having said so, my choices are now clear, either to be a silent observer and see my country tear itself apart or
to become part of the system and change it from within. I choose the later.

However, despite such a productive work experience, I recognize the need of an advanced degree in the
discipline if I seek to be truly effective in achieving my future goals. A master’s degree which can equip me
with the skills required to effectively design and resolve recent IT problems with a strong emphasis on latest
technology will go far in helping me achieve my career goals upon my return to Pakistan. I firmly believe that
by pursuing a master’s degree in Information Technology from a reputable graduate school, I will have the
opportunity to truly understand and appreciate the competing interests and views surrounding a variety of
complex engineering issues faced during field work pertaining to the sector’s policy framework, and security.

Upon my return, I would like to open my firm in Information Technology field to work with enhanced planning
in this field and sought out a sound output in current crisis to the people of Pakistan. Having previously been
part of the team responsible for the planning and development various software, I will be uniquely placed to
take advantage of the previously gained insight into the IT sector to ensure proper planning and utilization of
available resources. This will also allow me to put my newly acquired knowledge to practical use by working
with national and international policy makers in an attempt to rectify the current crisis.
