PRELIMINARY

A. General Description of Industrial and Project Work Practices

1. Industrial Work Practices

Get to know about employment that is general knowledge about how to work in
the field and the world of work, and as a school curriculum for TANAH GROGOT
3 STATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL, so that you know how to work or work
methods in one company or individual or individual, where the person gets
knowledge and experience in the world of work, so after graduating this industry
practice can apply the knowledge gained in the field to the theory that is in school.

2. Project

The project is a job or also called (JOB), where in the scope of the industrial
practice that we do here is work in the field of construction construction in other
words in the field of consulting services. in a project, it is led by the technical
person in charge, each of whom is responsible for the work distinguished by service
users or budget users. the project must be completed on time and run as well as
possible.

B. Space for Industrial Work Practices


Industrial Work Practice is one of the compulsory curriculum that must be followed by
every vocational student and department in their respective fields, where the theoretical
knowledge that has been obtained in school can be further developed in the world of work
that will bring positive influence as a habit of being disciplined in working like on time in
work and presence, behaving politely and respecting others, especially older people, being
more independent and being mature, makes us bolder in experiences that we will never get
at school.
The purpose of this Industrial Work Practice is to:
1. Knowing a million names of knowledge that we have obtained in school in the form
of theories or practices which are then compared to the reality of implementation in
the field or reality in the world of work.

2. Can provide us as students of TANAH GROGOT 3 STATE VOCATIONAL
SCHOOL with knowledge and experience on project implementation and
supervision, both project administration and technical work in the field.

This industry practice, using methods that include:
a. Observation in the field
Because the industrial work practices that we carry out are more in the field of
supervisory consulting services, then for observations in the field it is technical
and how the performance of the implementers in each type of work, observations
carried out include human resources, material and physical work observation.

b. Collection of Data and Information on Observation Results


This includes collecting data - project administration data that are considered
important and asking new things in the field, both on administration and technical
implementation of the field according to the timetable for the execution of work or
the schedule that has been applied.

c. Direct practice
By practicing directly into our field as students can know directly how the work
implementation process is carried out, from initial data collection (field survey),
data processing (depiction of work drawings and calculation of cost budget plans),
reports, up to the supervision process both building construction, road
improvement and road construction, and bridge construction and so on.

1. Prakerin Students Act As Part Of Consultants


In the project or work that is charged to the consultant service, we as students of
the apprenticeship are involved, although only limited to general knowledge, such as in
measuring buildings in various locations.

2. Time to Implement Prakerin


The time to implement this industrial work practice takes over 3 months, starting
from March 2 2018 to May 31 2018, where during the time of this industry practice, we
must apply the knowledge we obtain to the field (work world) as much as possible. ),
and we as students must follow the work pattern that has been determined by the

consultant service company (where we practice industry). As for the working day or
attendance applied by the consulting company PT. PASER WANGI CONSULTANT, it
will be implemented from Monday to Saturday when the work starts from 08.00 to
17.00 WITA.

CHAPTER II
DESCRIPTION OF THE ARCHITECT, CONSULTANT AND
PRAKERIN

A. General Overview of Consultants

Consultant, in this case the development consultant (planning, supervision and


management), is one profession that is never lonely, because as long as the country is built,
then the planning, supervision and management consulting services are provided by the use
of the budget, both government agencies, private and individual, the consulting profession
is quite popular among MBA and graduates (fresh graduated) because of one or several
things. For example: a good salary and remuneration package, the opportunity to travel
throughout the region or region, and the prestige / achievements or profession itself. So
there is no need to be surprised if the label is also often misused or used to trap graduates
who are looking for work.

1. Meaning of Consultant

Consultant services, in conducting business, is to provide advice to clients in return for


certain fees. Their clients are companies that need advice and skills possessed by
consultants for the problems they are facing. Government agencies or client companies
usually require the expertise and perspective that the consultant has.
Some consulting companies have certain specialists. There are those who concentrate on
the field of planning, some are in the field of supervision or even some are focusing on
development management. Some consultants have only a few staff, but some others have
dozens or even hundreds of employees scattered in various regions.

2. What Do Consultants Do

Each consultant has a philosophy and framework that is different from each other. Be it
an individual consultant or consultant who is a member of a consulting services company.
However, in general, consultants do work such as planning (estimation surveys),
monitoring (monitoring) of the physical executor of the work, so as not apart from work
drawings, technical specifications and directions from budget users, as well as development
management (reporting as a reference material).

3. Core Consultant Character

Good work on the team. It is common knowledge that consultants work not alone. The
brainstorming process also clearly involves others. We even have to work together with
technical staff from the employer. Obviously, this profession is not shown to those who
like to work alone in a closed environment. Multi tasking. Like operations (Windows, Mac,
Linux, UNIX, BDS), consultants are required to complete various assignments similantly.
Therefore, organizational skills and good people are needed in setting priorities. On the
other hand we are also required to be able to maintain balance with our personal lives. The
consultant should be able to think creatively "speak by" the data on the other side. Because,
knowledge of mathematics and quantitative calculations are absolutely needed. Consultants
must also be familiar with word, excel or AutoCad application software.

4. Who is the Consultant Service User

In this era of development, companies are required to remain competitive. Therefore,


ordinary consultants are hired to provide second opinions and outsider perspectives. The
company also realizes that they are not perfect in everything.

B. General Picture of Architect

Architectural planning activities (the Architectual Design Activity) in the reality both in the
academic world and in securing vocational vocational education are activities that are
highly preferred, Architecture students in the academic world and professionals in the
world of work practice, in fact cannot escape or avoid themselves architectural planning
activities. Why is that, because basically the activity of architectural design is the estuary or
akhis of all activities in the field of architecture.

C. General Description of Industrial Work Practices

In this industry work practice, we (as students of apprenticeship) have a lot of experience
and knowledge in the world of work and in undergoing this practice we become more
confident to get used to being able to be disciplined, polite and respectful of others so that
we can find out the way of dedication in the world of work.

We also gained experience in the world of industrial work so that when we graduated later
in the school of State Vocational High School 3, we were able to compete with other
graduates. Because you have got debriefing or knowledge in theory or practice directly in
the field.
With this industry work practice, we strive to reap the knowledge that has been acquired so
that later we get something valuable such as work experience, experience in the surf, and
polite towards older people and can respect others.

E. Attitudes and Behavior in the Technical Workers' Environment

We as students apprenticeship must have an attitude and behavior that is good in the
environment working both inside and outside the office, so that we can get an
independence within each of us, in behaving politely we will be appreciated by others.
Things that must be considered include:
 Always be disciplined in attendance and in gathering tasks.
 Always respect others.
 Ormati Respect for others.
 Iplin Discipline in work or outside.
 Responsible.
 Maintain the good name of schools and companies / offices.
 Following advice or direction from field and school counselors.
 Initiating in working and helping in the office.
 Like helping others.
 Departing to an industrial workplace must wear complete clothing according to the
schedule at school and the office's provisions.
 Comply and submit to all regulations in the company / industry.
 Carry out practical work tasks as well as possible under the direction and
supervision of company or industry supervisors.
 Pay attention to the work safety issued by the company or industry.
 Not allowed to take, borrow or do work without permission or direction and
supervision from company / industry advisers.
 Following working hours specified by industrial companies.
 Willing to carry out the tasks that are given and accept conditions such as those
applied by other people in the field or in any field of work.
 Maintain all confidential information about the company.
 If you do not carry out industrial work practices due to illness or other unusual
needs, you must provide information to the company accompanied by a
certificate.

F. Means of industrial work practices

The intent and purpose of industrial work practices (Prakerin) is to find out the extent to
which the knowledge we have obtained in school is in the form of theories or practices

which are then compared to the reality of implementation in the field or reality in the world
of work. So that we can equip us as students of SMK Negeri 3 Tanah Grogot with
knowledge and experience regarding the scope of work itself, both administrative and
technical in nature. Which later after can be useful for us in the future.

G. Purpose of Industrial work

The purpose of holding this Industrial Work Practice is that the theories obtained at
school can be applied to the world of work later. So that the development of human
resources (HR) through the improvement of formal and non-formal education can be
carried out, general knowledge and field experience in order to produce graduates relevant
to the needs of society and industry, as well as the demands of the global market, can be
applied as well as possible.

H. Benefits of Industrial Work Practices

Implementation of Industrial Work Practices for us, as students of State Vocational High
School 3 Tanah Grogot is a final stage program which has objectives including:
1. As a realization of the vocational program of SMK Negeri 3 Tanah Grogot.
2. To increase knowledge and improve work skills, especially in the implementation
of work in the field of development work industry.
3. Train discipline and responsibility and educate attitudes and behaviors that must be
owned by every student and student of SMK Negeri 3 Tanah Grogot.
4. Developing an attitude of work ethic, attitudes of independence and professional
attitude as labor in building and work creativity.
5. So that we as students are able to find alternative solutions to problems in the
development work in later decomposition.
6. Further introduction of employment in the industrial and office world.
7. Introduction and assessment of employment early.
8. Can be used as a motivational reference to be more active in work.

I. Background

The background of this Industrial Work Practice is one of the requirements that must be
carried out on students who are compulsory in subjects according to the standards of
student competency obtained at school to be applied in the industrial work world and if

later they can no longer continue with a higher school then students have can get used to
work and apply expertise in the field.
To obtain good results and can be said to have meaning and purpose, then the school
makes an activity related to vocational subjects according to the competency standards of
students namely the program of Industrial Work Practice activities.
With this practice students can apply the knowledge gained at school, which can be useful
after we graduate from SMK Negeri 3 Tanah Grogot.

INDUSTRIAL WORK PRACTICE ACTIVITIES

A. Study of the Work Practice Theory


Theoretical study of activities that we must carry out as students of practical work is a
guide in the literature relating to attitudes and behavior in industrial work practices as well
as guidelines on the provisions imposed by field supervisors, generally concerning the rules
and methods of activities of the company PT. PASER WANGI CONSULTAN where we
carry out industrial work practices, in particular the direction given by the field supervisor.

During industrial work practices, we as compulsory practicing students:


 Maintain the good name of the school or company in or outside working hours
 Follow all applicable rules
 Using clothes politely, according to company regulations
 Maintain cleanliness, order and security and adherence to industrial work practices
 Fill in the journal every day that has been given and given by the field / company
supervisor
 Tell the field supervisor / company in writing if there is no bias to attend the
industrial workplace

C.Description of internship activities

a. Two Dimensional Tasks


For drawings of simple residential plans or 2-story drawings that must be made
include architecture and structure.
Architecture includes layout plans, roof plan plans, frame plans, ceiling plans, ceramic
plans, pieces, looks and facades. While the structure includes floor plan, sloof, column,
beam ring, horses, and details.

For building plans that are more than 3 or 5 floors, I only help to do some parts.
Examples are partitions, stairs, portals, and plan drawings in the room (such as
bathrooms and generator houses).

b. Three Dimensional Tasks


For three-dimensional tasks I use the Sketchup application. Most images done are
exterior. The tasks that are done also vary. Some tasks must be done according to the
picture and exactly the situation in the field because some of the houses / buildings that
are applied into 3D are existing buildings but are repaired in some parts (Rehabilitation).
But there are also 3D tasks that are done using their own ideas.

c. Task Budget Plan


In working on the RAB we learned that was to calculate the budget plan for simple
housing. To calculate the plan of budget costs for a building that is done first, that is to
calculate the volume of parts of the building itself.
After the volume counts the next step, which is to analyze the cost of work after they
are counted, then we will know the amount of price we need to build or rehabilitate a
building.
In order to make it easier, detailed and structured the amount of prices from the parts
of the building that have been calculated are included in the budget plan recapitulation
which is added with 10% VAT.

D. Peroses of Planning Work Activities

The scope of work that must be carried out by the planning consultant is guided by the
technical provisions that apply both in the civil field and in the architectural pieces, which
can include the tasks of environmental planning, site / building site and physical planning
of State buildings, which include:
1. Planning preparation such as collecting data and information on the field, making
an outline interpretation of the failure of the work reference.
2. Preparation of pre-plans such as visible plans, building planners including programs
and concepts of space, cost estimates, and licensing arrangements to get city plan
lighting, information on building and environmental requirements.
3. Preparation of development plans, among others, making

including preparing the news in the explanation of the work, evaluating the offer,
arranging the tender document, and carrying out the same tasks when the re-auction
occurs.
7. Conduct periodic supervision during the implementation of physical construction

E. Planning Responsibilities

 Supervise the correctness of size, quality and quantity, from building
materials or components of equipment and equipment during fieldwork or at
other workplaces.
 Provide progress in implementation and take appropriate and prompt action
so that the implementation deadline is in accordance with the schedule.
 Giving instructions, or orders to add or subtract work must convey to the
project manager to be suggested to budget users.

 Examining additional work drawings made by the contractor, especially


those that result in additional or lack of work, and also calculations and
construction drawings made by the shop contractor.
 Receive a ban on preparing the official report in connection with the
completion of workers in the field, as well as for the purpose of paying
work.
 Check and prepare a list of entries and the value of the work, as well as
adding or reducing work for payment purposes.
 Prepare forms, daily, weekly and monthly reports, work progress reports,
first and second job submission minutes and other forms needed to prepare
development documents.

f) .Supervision Responsibilities
1. The supervision consultant is professionally responsible for supervision
services carried out in accordance with the provisions of the prevailing
professional code of conduct.
2. Contractually the supervisory consultant is responsible to budget users. In its
operational activities supervision supervision will get assistance in
determining the direction of supervision work from the project manager
consisting of administrative and financial management and technical

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

A. Conclusion

1. The implementation of industrial work practices (Prakerin) is very helpful in terms


of the application of theory in the field, because the science can be applied directly
in the work environment.
2. Industrial work practice activities can provide a direct description of how the actual
work process in the field and as a comparison with what is obtained in vocational
schools, especially the building drawing techniques of SMK 3 Tanah Grogot.
3. The results expected from industrial work practices (Prakerin) that we carry out
from March 2, 2018 to May 31, 2018 at the company PT. PASANG WANGI
CONSULTANT is, so that we as students work in:
 Know about consulting services.
 Knowing the working principle (in general) in the field of planning such as:
 Field survey (planning data collection)
 Work drawings (survey results data, processed into work drawings)
 Estimate (calculation of quantity and price, along with analysis of the
work)
 Aporan Reporting (preliminary report, final report, project administration
and documentation).
4. During industrial work practices, we get direct work experience, where we can
know and understand in general, how to identify work in the field.
5. With industrial work practices, more or less can get used to the world of work and

good, because during the internship we get disciplines in tasks or jobs.

especially the TANAH GROGOT 3 NEGRI VOCATIONAL SCHOOL students,
especially the younger ones, to be more enthusiastic and earnest in carrying out programs

and struggling in developing self potential and maintaining the good name of the school.
