Question 1:
Tell me something about yourself.
With due course of time, I have explored few important characteristics about myself.
First being Independent. Since both my parents are working, I learned to manage things at very
early part of my life.
Second being Patient as I used to tutor schoolchildren
In addition, I tried my hand at E-commerce where I used to sell and deliver the footwear through a
general platform. This whole experience enhanced my Management skills
But unfortunately, the business model was not up to the mark. Therefore, it did not succeed.
Then another opportunity knocked at my door and my sister approached me to help her in setting
up her play school.
I handled Logistics, Operations, Advertising, and designed the prospectus for the school.
I like to contribute to towards the society. Therefore, whenever I earn some money, I distribute
food in
slum, through which I realized the importance of giving happiness to the needy.
Coming to my hobbies, I like to watch DIY videos related to home decor and then I try some of
those
videos by myself.
Also, I like to make handmade cards and gifts for special occasions.
Question 2:
Mention 3 strengths. State one instance associated with each.

Steadfast- I was injured just before my IIM Amritsar Interview, hardly able to walk, but I decided
to cover my injury with hand kerchief and give the interview.
Welcoming- I am a big believer of try every opportunity knocking my door as it did for setting up
my sisters school and it was a great learning experienced
Convincing power- While setting up my sister’s school I used to meet many distributors and convince
them to offer me a feasible price and I convinced most of them.
Question 3:
Mention 3 weaknesses. State how you plan to work on each of those weaknesses.
1. Overthinking-
I tend of overthink before an important event. However, I have been meditating for past
few months and now I can see myself handling such situation in a better way. I am calmer
than before and the overthinking has reduced a lot.
2. Too much blunt and honest-
At times, I am too blunt and honest and might seem aloof. I say something to my friends
and then think about what I said and sometimes they get hurt. However, now I make sure I
think twice before I say anything to anyone. I am developing a habit of thinking before
speaking.
3. Emotional-
I get a little emotional at times with friends and family. I have decided to be a little less
emotional and give a practical solution from now on
Question 4:
What are your short term (3-5 years) and long term goals (10-15 years)?
During my 2 years of my MBA I want to work on personality and improve myself as a human being
every single day. Being part of the Public Relations Cell and working under the media vertical. I
would like gain a lot of knowledge and I will get many opportunities to interact with Industry
Stalwarts directly. If I can observe and gain some insights that will be great for my career. I have an
inclination towards sales and marketing and would like to make a career I that field only. I want to
join a firm that will give me an opportunity to learn new things every single day.
In the long term, I want to be a building process of a firm, where I can give inputs and lean from my
peers. I want to be part of such environment where I can give 200% even after working for 12-13
years in the same field.
Question 5:
Give an instance when you stepped in, took charge, mustered support & influenced the
outcome of a project by taking on a leadership role.
I was organising a case study competition during my college fest and then all of a sudden 15 minutes
before the event two of my teammates were missing so I decided that our whole team is going to
divide their work equally and will make sure that the event was a success. Everyone liked the idea
of distributing the workload and then I distributed the workload as per my team member’s
capabilities and everyone was happy, as the event was a success.
Question 6:
What has been your greatest achievement? Justify.
One of the major accomplishment came after my entrepreneurial downfall.
My sister was about to start her play school and she asked me to help her. I handled Logistics,
Operations, Advertisement and designing of the school’s prospectus. This whole experience gave
me a new way of thinking about things real life works. I learned how to negotiate with the
suppliers and how to manage workers and a lot of things. I got a lot of appreciation from everyone
especially my mother was very proud of me.
Being a new one, school is still doing well, which makes me happy.
Question 7:
What decisions have you most regretted? Why?
The decision that have regretted the most was quitting my start-up because of a setback in
Supply chain and the products used to get delivered late. Now that I am here, I will find a solutions
and start my own company one day.
Question 8:
Tell us about a situation when you faced an ethical dilemma and how you overcame it?
I was a part of the core organising committee during my cultural fest in my graduation college. The
winners for most of the events were pre-decided due to politics but I was against this, as I believe
that everyone should get equal opportunity. However, the problem here was that I could not go
against my friends and batch mates in open. So, I decided to write a letter to my director about the
on-going and he took appropriate action.
Question 9:
Why Finance/Marketing/Consulting/HR/Operations/IT? (Answer according to your first
preference of specialization)
Marketing is such field where if you do not improvise you will lag behind your competitors. You
need to improve yourself as a firm every single day. You need to understand the market, study
consumer behaviour and recognise its need and act accordingly. For every forecast, you make in
marketing, you need to have a substantial number behind it. In marketing you have to be on your
feet, proactive observing everything around you. That is why I like marketing because it requires
you to keep your thinking cap always on your head. You need to walk with the current trends of
markets. You need to learn and then act accordingly.
Question 10:
What are your key interests? What have you done till now to pursue them? (Describe
instances)
My interests are reading, photography, cooking and keeping myself fit.
I have a small library in my room where I keep all my novels and books and I feel so good looking at
them. I have a dream of a having a whole library room in my own house full of novels one day.
I like to click photographs of the nature and its beauty and these days I am working with my college
design team and learning some basics of photography.
I like to make handmade gifts for friends and make them feel special.
Question 11:
Which is your dream company and why do you want to join it?
I want to be a part of Amazon and my interest is E-commerce related to my start-up and I want to
be a part of biggest E-commerce in the world and learn a lot of values from them.
