This daily lesson plan is for an English 10 class on January 30, 2019 from 11:00-12:00. The learner is expected to show appreciation for songs, poems, plays, etc. ( EN10LC-IIIg-14.3)
The learner is expected to give expanded definitions of words. ( EN10V-IIIc13.9)
The learner is expected to evaluate the information contained in the material viewed in terms
of accuracy and effectiveness. (EN10VC-IIIc10)

A. Reviewing Previous Lesson /
Presenting the New Lesson : Post the pictures on the board and ask the students what
idea the pictures suggest.
B. Establishing a Purpose for the lesson :

After eliciting the correct answer, deepen the concept by asking :

WHY IS IT CALLED MOTHER EARTH?


WHAT MAKES EARTH A MOTHER?
C. Presenting Examples / Instances of the lesson :
Let the students enumerate other feminine qualities which the Earth has.

D. Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New Skill #1 :


Let one student read the excerpt from the Preamble of the Proposal for Universal
Declaration of the Rights Of Mother Earth while the rest of the class is listening
and taking down notes on different rights mentioned by the reader.
The teacher asks : How many rights of Mother Earth are mentioned in the excerpt?

E. Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New Skill #2 :


Let the class complete the Venn Diagram Found on page 315 LM.
F. Developing Mastery :
Class discussion of the Venn Diagram
G. Finding Practical Applications of Concepts and Concepts in Daily Living :
Share instances / experiences which made you realize that Nature is like a
Mother to you.
H. Making Generalizations and Abstractions about the lesson :
What can you tell to the new generation in relation to your realization?
I. Evaluating Learning :

Play the music video PARAISO by Smokey Mountain


Let the students express their insights of the song on the freedom board.
J. Additional Activities for application or Remediation :

Group students according to their interest / talent

Dance Group
Poem Group
Draw Group
Song Group
Jingle Group
Rap Music Group

Allow students to create their own interpretation on one of the following songs :
