of public. Roughly there are at least 1 new media article per week published / referred the KillFie
research from Spring 2017. Every death that happens because of Selfies, has some reference to our
work. We have currently developed multiple solutions to address the KillFies, Saftie Facebook Chatbot
https://www.facebook.com/saftiebot Saftie Android Application https://play.google.com/store/apps/
details?id=com.something.vedant.crowdsourcing There was even a lot of interest on a TED talk around
this topic; gave a TED talk on “Saving Lives: How Many Likes Is Your Life Worth?” capturing our
research on KillFies. Talk available at https://youtu.be/VTMSNOX2JlA A few of the media articles
are presented below, for a comprehensive list please search for “selfie deaths” in google. I have also been
on TV, Radio both nationally and internationally multiple times discussing this topic. Using the Saftie
app, we have marked 1000+ location as verified dangerous around the world; each location is verified
if more than 3 users mark it as dangerous. We also built a Saftie Camera App http://bit.ly/saftie-cam

• MIME: Memes have become a predominant means of expression in the internet culture- they are not
only used as a means of entertainment but as an important tool for advertising, spreading propaganda
and even political ideologies. However, the creation of memes is limited to a niche community of content
creators who are skilled in photo/video editing software. MIME is a platform which empowers people
who lack these skills to become a part of the meme conversation. We built a one-stop solution for all
meme needs - a maker space where people can create memes, a personalized meme feed, and a space to
connect with other meme enthusiasts. Further, we hypothesize that a person?s meme interests can be
an intrinsic indicator of social preferences and can form the basis of strong interpersonal connections.
We aim to create a strong community by enabling users to form connections based on similar meme
interests. http://bit.ly/meme-mime

because people fell for misinformation they received on WhatsApp. Our goal is tackle this spread of
false content on WhatsApp. We have collected data from crowdsourced message reports and public
groups. WhatsFarzi will provide you with instant results regarding the authenticity of text/images you
receive on WhatsApp. http://bit.ly/whatsfarzi

and Nigeria within Africa; Philippines, Bangladesh and Pakistan within Asia; and Colombia, Peru and
Mexico within America; and two specific sports: Cricket and Football within Sports. The service was
