FROM PRINCIPAL’S DESK

Love is the commitment that we feel towards the other as a result of admiring and
appreciating the goodness in others. As
human beings, we value in others what
we value most in ourselves. If love is
the result of appreciating the goodness
in others, you can actually make love
sprout and grow since there is some
element of goodness in every person. It
is in this context that Thomas Merton
says, “Love is our true destiny. We do
not find the meaning of life by
ourselves alone- we find it with one another.”
