Akin (adj):
If one thing is akin to another, it is similar to it in some way = equal to
Listening to his life story is akin to reading a good adventure novel

Awry (adj):
If something goes awry, it does not happen in the way it was planned= distorted, crooked
Unfortunately, however, good intentions sometimes go awry

Blatant (adj):
You use blatant to describe something bad that is done in an open or very obvious way = obvious
I regard his remarks as blatant and ill-mannered

Captious (adj) :
A captious person is apt to find faults of others = faultfinding, carping
A captious boss would be the most hated man in the world

Discombobulated (adj):
completely confused
The speaker was completely discombobulated by the questions from the audience

Expeditiously (adj):
Expeditious means quick and efficient = rapidly and efficiently
Surprisingly, the bank expeditiously granted loan to me

Inebriated (adj):
Someone who is inebriated has drunk too much alcohol = drunken
Shee arrived at the meeting inebriated

Insipid (adj):
If you describe food, drink or a thing as insipid, you dislike it because it has very little taste = tasteless
The movie is so insipid that i left the hall in interval

Limpid (adj):
If you say that something is limpid, you mean that it is very clear and transparent = very clear, transparent
Akanksha’s eyes were limpid enough for one to be able to see one’s reflection in them

Modish (adj):
Something that is modish is fashionable =fashionable
Prachi discards all garments that are no longer modish
