I. IDENTIFYING INFORMATION
II. RATIONALE
Vocabulary is the center of any language teaching. Insufficiency of this, pupils could
hardly understand others and could hardly express their own ideas well.
Vocabulary Development is one of the domains necessary for pupils’ literacy. To enrich
this, different vocabulary activities should be employed. The Grade three pupils in Iram II
Elementary School got the lowest MPS in vocabulary development skills as shown in the
Language Assessment for Primary Grades (LAPG) result last School Year 2014-2015.
One way to improve this skill is the utilization of strategic intervention material which
will focus on vocabulary development through context clues.
This proposal will surely benefit the pupils because they will be equipped with the needed
skills which they fell short of. The acquisition of the said skill will likely help them improve their
coming language assessment this school year.
III.PROJECT PURPOSE
Grade 3 pupils will be the main benefactors of this project proposal through the
initiative of the proponent Mr. Danilo M. Dela Rosa.
This will help pupils to widen their vocabulary by being able to determine the meaning
of unfamiliar words using context clues.
