TALENT SHOW GUIDELINES

The following guidelines have been developed by the planning committee to ensure the success and fairness
of the contest.

1. Because the purpose of the contest is to celebrate San Sebastian’s Acquaintance Party, bona fide students
and professors are eligible to compete. The talent show is open to both individuals and groups of
individuals. A person may only appear in one act.

2. Each year level is required to have at least three (3) entries whether individual contestants or group.
Deadline of entry submission will be on July 20, 2017 and please see or contact Ms. Mila Garcia.

3. Each of the contestants to appear during the even MUST report to the stage one (1) hour prior to the start
of the show.

4. Each contestant will be allowed no more than three (3) minutes on stage. Ten percent of the contestant’s
points will be deducted for each minute or part of a minute the contestant runs over three (3) minutes in
length.

5. A panel of three (3) judges, selected by the Talent Show Committee, will judge contestants.

6. Talent will be judged on the following criteria:

● Poise (confidence, cover mistakes well, etc.) 10 points


● Physical Appearance (neatness, costuming) 10 points
● Stage Presence (audience appeal, smile) 10 points
● Overall impression (20 points)
● Talent (music, ability, coordination, etc.) 50 points Total
Possible Points: 100 points

7. Prizes will be awarded for first place, second and third place whether it is an individual, duo or group act.
