1 Solar Field Drainage system provided by Open Trapezoidal Drains

2 The Minimum Longitudnal Slope of the drain shall be : 1 in 250 (Assumed)


The Minimum Longitudnal Slope of the pipe culvert shall be : 1 in 250 (Assumed)

3 The minimum and maximum velocity of flow in drain shall be maintained as follows to ensure proper flow :
Minimum 0.45 m/s (As per clause 6.8.3 of IRC SP 50:2013)
Maximum 1.5 m/s (As per clause 8.8.5 of IS 10430:2000)

4 The minimum and maximum velocity of flow in pipe culverts shall be maintained as follows to ensure proper flow :
Minimum 0.75 m/s (As per clause 6.8.3 of IRC SP 50:2013)
Maximum 1.8 m/s (As per clause 6.8.3 of IRC SP 50:2013)

5 The trapezoidal drain shall be of minimum 300mm botton width and minimum of 300mm depth (100mm freeboard).

6 The pipe for road crossings shall be designed for flow in half filled conduit with minimum dia 300mm.

7 Rainfall Intensity per hour ( I ) = 97.00 mm/hour (As per meteorological report)

Runoff Coefficient ( C ) = 0.2 (As per clause 5.5 of IS:8835-1978)

Mannings Coefficient ( n ) = 0.020 (Stone Slab) (As per Table 1 of IS 10430:2000)
