Research Method
This study will be carried out on the basis of exploratory research design because the study will
focus on Madrasa integration process into national education system. Moreover the study will find
out the trend and problems of Mardasa education process. In this regard it is an exploratory
research.
Muslims are a distinct cultural group of Nepal. They have their own socio-economic and cultural
identity in Nepal. Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Kapilbastu and Banke districts have a large number of
Muslim communities. These districts are chosen for the study because it is easily accessible and
homogeneous in socio- economic, cultural and geographical structure. Madrasa is the main educational
institution of Muslim. Most of the parents prefer to send their children in Madrasa rather than
mainstream schools. Madrasa are also facing many problems in the integration process of mainstream
education system. Thus the area is selected to find out the possible problems and outcomes of the
integration process.
The main aim of this study is to explore the integration process of Madrasa School in five districts.
Thus the primary data will be collected from the Madrasa of the study area. Similarly, the secondary
data will be collected from published and unpublished written documents of individuals, expert and
different organizations related to this movement and from the district education offices and the ministry
of education and sports.
Sampling Procedure
In all five districts most of the Muslim population is resident in the southern part of the district
where Muslim population mainly have lived for many years and most of the Madrasa are located
within the same areas in southern part of the district.
5 Madrasa from each district will be randomly selected for the sampling. A list of Madrasa
schools within the selected VDC will be drawn. From this list five Madrasa schools located
in different district will be randomly selected.
Twenty five Muslim households from each of the selected districts where the selected
Madrasa School is situated are randomly selected for the interview.

Twenty five Muslim households from each of the district where the selected Madrasa School is
situated are randomly selected for the interview. To generate the primary data structured
questionnaires for households and school level will be developed. Structured questionnaires will
be used to interview the head of households and teachers of Madrasa schools.
3 Types of Questionnaires
These questionnaires will be administered to the head of the Muslim community household. It will
contains total no. of family members, no. of children they have and their age, no. of school going
and out of school children, reason for the out of school children, level of children in school they
studying, name of the non formal education that Muslim children studied, main occupation of
surveyed people etc.
Three persons including the researcher himself will be involved in data collection. It is estimated
that two to three weeks time will take to complete the data collection.
The data collected using the above techniques and tools will be analyzed thematically. For the
thematic analysis all the information will be related to the already classified pattern and they will
be combined to build a valid argument for generating the meaningful themes. These themes will
be used to interpret the findings of this study to achieve the stipulated objectives.
All the findings will be verified by analyzing the information to get the precision. The findings
will be interpreted logically to get the answers of the objectives of this study and suggestions will
be made on the basis of findings of the conclusion drawn from this study.
