QUEZADA
My reflection on this day 1 in-set training, I have learn to achieve the success of
our school, we should start first from our very own respective classroom. We should
set specific classroom rules which must be followed by everyone and the teachers
should serve as a good example to their pupils and parents/stake holders so that we
disciplining them and make them believed that they are capable of doing good
I’ve also learned that we must have unity, cooperation and develop harmonious

also tried to solve some problem solving and found it very difficult then later realized
that I should not only stick on one side of learning but also expand my knowledge.
conducive for learning , well ventilated, proper classroom size and materials are well
provided based on what is really needed inside the classroom particularly pupils
Reflection:
Thank God that now is the last day of our inset training! Hope that everything
I’ve learned must be put into practice. Because, the purpose of this training is not just
to comply but for teacher’s development and school improvement for the sake our
pupils learning. For me the keys are discipline and respect from teachers, pupils and
parents. Because I believed that valuable resource that all teachers have is each other,

was “Important of Classroom Management”. She points out that one

Individual differences is number one, because every child/person is unique
individual. She also enumerated techniques for better classroom control
that will help us teacher to have well organize, child-friendly and positive

REFLECTION #3
Thank you Papa G., for another day and for allowing me to complete
the three day INSET seminar. Today seminar highlighted three topics. Our
first speaker was our Master Teacher Mr. Gerry Sabangan, his topic was
“Rules That Teacher Should Live By”. He enumerated 24 rules should
teacher like me to live by. And for me those rules were very useful to our
life as a teacher, so that I can have an ideals to follow to.
Our second speaker was Mrs. Rafael, our very approachable school
guidance counselor. Her topic was “Test Construction”. She discussed the
importance on how to make a good test questions, it should be valid,
reliable and useable etc.
I just hope and pray that all the learnings, sharing that we had from
this three day INSET seminar will be useful to me and to all the participants.

I learned much from this seminar most especially from our speaker Mr. Serrno.

knowing that there are more projects/programs awaits for the progress of our

negativities. We should learn to accept things in a positive way and bring out the

Day 3
I’ve learned a lot in our last day of in-set. The first topic refreshes
my mind of being a good teacher. That, I must always remember the 24 rules
that a teacher should live by.
October 29,2018
Today’s In Service Training Topics is a very good start for this coming semester.
Accomplishing the Portfolio of the RPMS is such an exciting part for me. For long years,
that I wasn’t in the service, knowing all the things that I need to accomplish this year is
again a reflection on how responsible effective, and how great I am as a teacher. With
regards to the topic discussed by Mr. Dannes Serano , I’m still a n a state of deep thinking
on how to manage my class. The good ABCD’s was given and I realized that I still need
the big heart for these for my student’s future. Some of the good points of the ABCD’s, I
could say that I’m doing it but not that consistent. Look forward to more trainings that
includes or discusses or personal development and be best teacher for this year through
performance and of course my relationship to my colleagues.
October 30,2018
An excellent workshop - very upbeat and held the attention of all teachers all
throughout. I personally learned a lot, even though I’ve been in the industry for some time.
The whole team learned some very useful tools for the future that can be used in both
school and life to increase this success. Topics are practical, real, fun, focused and gave
us the opportunity to really think about and apply the skills learned. Really opened my
eyes to the little things we can do every day to make a big difference to both teachers
and students.

Day 1
October 29, 2018
There is a quotation that states “Train up a child in the way he should go, and
when he is old, he will not depart from it”. As the speaker, Mr. Dannes Nestor Daniel Serrano
talked about positivity on the children’s behavior or attitude or how we call it, my thought was
working on how we bring a particular problem child into our positive perspective to make them
a better person.
For me, what he shared was perfect for today’s kind of generation. Teachers have
always been trying to find ways on this problem and I like his discussion about untying the knot
because I am a hundred percent advocate that children have their own uniqueness. They need
to be accepted to be able for them to believe on themselves, that we always need to focus on
rewarding goodness than looking for mistakes for punishment.
As a teacher, we have to show empathy and respect. I have been contemplating
about what he has said and I’ve come up believing that if we just try to give them the chance and
train them, soon they would be able to love it and never depart from that learnings. Through this,
I know and I believe that we can create the best person in them because they are God’s children
and that is what they deserve.
Day 2
October 30, 2018
Today’s training has been a productive one. Aside from the topics shared by the
speakers, what caught my attention most was the video presented in the food for thought. My
mind was focused on the four words that sometimes becomes a hindrance to success.
These four words create the question, what will people say? According to the
video, these four words limit ourselves to give our full potential. We become hesitant to continue
our good intention every time we think what other people would say. These always bothers us
and gives lots of worries. We refrain from doing things because of fears. Hesitation, worries and
fear are the products of these words.
As a teacher, it is important to show everything we’ve got to showcase our full
potential. These must not affect our increasing potential and talents especially in nurturing the
learners. We should keep going no matter what others would say most especially if we know that
what we are doing is for the betterment of our fellow being. Whatever negative or positive
comment we receive, always be prepared! We have to be tough in facing the world. Fight fears
if you think it can help you become a better person. Stop negativity and don’t think what other
people would say. Just chill and we should keep going on the track of POSITIVITY.
Day 3
October 31, 2018
The most important learning I had this day was the topic discussed by Sir Gerry
Sabangan, one of the school’s Master Teacher about the rules that teachers should live by. There
were items in which I failed to answer correctly by being honest in what I feel. Every time we
discussed each item, there was realization in me which I regret of doing so.
As I contemplate on this topic. I have come to realize that I should do better.
Though I know that I am already practicing it, never did I notice that what I am doing is not
enough.
This topic serves as a reminder to me. This would always remind me of what and
how to do better not only as a teacher, but also a human, to be able to bring out the best in me.
Thanks to the speaker for choosing a meaningful and abundant topic for this day.
More power WRES!

REFLECTION
(Day 1)
What I’ve learned today is on “How Teachers Deal with Difficult Students
and Positive Discipline.” From now on I will focus on the good things I see on my
pupils, love, patience and let them feel a sense of belongingness towards his/ her
superior and classmates. Be kind and get to know the individual. Be fair and give
them a new chance every day. Talk to them about their behavior privately. Give them
the same time and accept your students for who they are.

teachers we should strive to improve our teaching career. The activity given by sir
Sabangan focuses on the welfare of the pupils. It is important for the teachers to
relationships with your students, peers and parents will make your job easier. One
important thing is, you have to listen to others opinion including your students and
take their feedback into account and always willing to adapt the change.

that we can apply now the differentiated instruction for these multiple intelligences
do pupils have. I think they are co-related with one another (helping hand in hand).
Focus on the learners capabilities. Teacher will prepare activities for the basic,
their own behavior. On the very first day of classes we should impose classroom
rules. Come to class prepared. Provide varied instructional materials so that pupils
The speaker was Mr. Dannes Nestor Daniel Serrano. According to him
the true meaning of “discipline” was teaching not punishment. For
me that word should be instilled first by our parents. I remember when
I was young, my mom and dad always said… those rules or orders
should be obeyed if not there were equaled association of
punishment based in your misconduct.
In untying the knot there were several ways that Mr. Danes stated for
him the first was acceptance, next was believe, then catch the
goodness and the last one discipline. In our everyday life we cannot
simple avoid circumstances that can ruin our mood and our mind
setting just because of that person or people. Most of the time I
ignored their wrong doings because I didn’t want to stay angry for too
long. But I learned something discipline was not just simply correcting
mistakes; showing who was better or right. It was done because you
“care”.
October 30, 2018
My reflection for this day, being a teacher was not simply creating
lesson plans and teaching in the four corner of the room. He/ she has
a lot of rules to follow that bind us just like a chain that connect each
and every one of us.
HEDWIG H. ARCILLA
REFLECTION
DAY 1
The topics that discussed today are interested and very refreshing to my mind
especially the topic discussed by our invited guest, Mr. Danes Serrano. All the
things he said was really a realization that needs application. It really easy to
listen but surely hard to find actions.
As I listen to him. I know that his topic is not really knew. It has a similarity with
our past lecture about anti-oppression in the 21st century. They both incorporate
and emphasized positive discipline to our 21st pupils. The lecture emphasized
how we should enthusiastic to assent and provide positive discipline to our
pupils. For me, it is really given but very hard to incorporate with our children
especially with pupils with difficulties or problems. .Disciplining pupils especially
nowadays really gave me an immense responsibility. Punishment, giving extra
tasks, shouting them are forbidden.
Catch people doing right truly gave me an anxious thought especially I have 1 of
my pupils that really gave me a hard time. Every time when I was not around
and come back at 12:20 p.m. his and her classmates prepared stories to tell
about him. My responses was, sometimes,” I just ignore the scenario” or it really
caused stress.
Day 2
Today’s topic is really essential and productive to us teachers. Test
construction is not new to us but it is serve as a refreshment course. It is a
recall in making test.
As a challenge I will construct my summative test in eliciting the high order
thinking skills.
Day 3
As s teacher different topics discussed is not new to us but it is a recall for us to
motivate us more, to strive more and to enhance us. All the learning that we
get, our children will benefits more. As a teacher I will challenge myself to learn
more,to strive more for our children. For the future of our children.
MELVIN REAÑO
Day 1 INSET
REFLECTION
There are many things to be learned and reflected on the first day of our INSET.
As one of the facilitators of learning, two topics have captured my mind. First is
innovation that we must do as a teacher in particular with the RPMS, making daily
lesson logs and teachers’ pedagogy. Knowing these can really uplift my
performance and skill as educator. Second is the positive reinforcement in
managing the behaviour of our learners. Based on the discussant, he intensified
the value/worth of being optimistic all the time. To be positive is to accept your
student and believe that there are many positive things behind their behaviour.
Inflicting pain through discipline won’t change who they are and what we want
them to be. We must educate our learners in a positive way so that we can reflect
and say to ourselves that we have touched their lives.
Day 2 INSET
REFLECTION
Day 3 INSET
REFLECTION
The topic which only reflected on me is the thought for the day which was
presented by Mrs. Arcilla. This thought really aroused each participants’ mind to
share different views of change. The most significant thought for me based on
their collaboration about change is that change is a perennial or inevitable force
that nobody can stop. Actually I affirmed this thought because even me I always
change and adapt myself to the changes that happened in my environment. I
always change for good for I believe it is a must and it will help me to
continuously move forward to success and excellence.

Day 1 INSET
REFLECTION
Acceptance is the key to Positivity “. The teacher should teach not punish
the student. Give them positive outlook that may lead to positive deeds. Make
them feel that they are accepted whatever behaviour that they have we may not
know their future now but we can make them successful because of the positive
treatment that they really deserve. Every student is unique and has diverse
behaviour. We must not always look forward to their negative side because if we
will see them on that way we cannot change them the way we want them to be.
Day 2 INSET
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
There are many rules that we teachers should live on. First is we must
prioritize our pupils. Know who needs your help them to be a good citizen. The
welfare of them is important so that they feel comfortable when they are inside
the school. We must establish strong relationship with them . Listen to their
opinions and feedback. The sharing of thoughts about change made me realized
that if wee want to be a catalyst of change.
Reflection DAY 1
Being positive in all action can create unity and perfect life. Uniformity can reflect
unity. If there is unity all things will become light and smooth. Positive outlook
can multiply/attract good health, wealth and right attitude. At the end of this
session we inform that we have lots of work/duty to do/accomplish. We should
discipline ourself positively. We should accept them positively. We have lots of
focus in life everything. That’s part of challenges. Always untied those knot/torn
by implementing the ABCD formula of positivity. If this could be happen, life is
easy every day. And there will be JOY in my life.
Reflection DAY 2
School is the basic place wherein the pupils can acquire learning. In order for the
pupils to learn in school, teacher/administrator set a school rules associated with
classroom management and school discipline. Classroom must establish policies.
It is important because it helps a school establish rule and procedure and acts
standard of quality for learning and safety, as well as expectations and
accountability. Without them school would lead the structure and function
necessary to provide the education needs and of pupils. In this session I learn that
the teacher must be obedient positively in all rules. If he teacher now use
obedience, the school would lack the structure and function necessary to provide
the obedient needs of pupils.
Reflection DAY 3
As a teacher, I realized to reach out to find the special entry for every learners,
the teacher should consider the ff.
Day 1
From now on, I let them feel (kids/pupils) that they are important, and I will
accept/ understand them the way they are- maybe this kids/ pupils have a family
problem. I don’t want to be an additional burden to them but I will help them to
uplift their personality and one by one touch their lives. I believe in their
capability of being child. And pass the positive outlook to one another.
Day 2
It was a very informative day for me as a teacher- as a new teacher in this school
with a new school head and a new way of observing how we deliver a lesson. I
was enlighten by the process on how to go with the observation that makes it
clearly not confusing especially now (RPMS). Atleast now I know how to rate my
performance by my observer. I can’t feel uncomfortable and confuse.
I believe that every child has a unique talent- it is a big challenge for me to be
ready every day in facing to my pupils, in delivering my lessons and activity as well
that will suit to their strength. As a teacher, as well as a student. I have
experienced and seen the importance of differentiated instruction. Although
differentiation is not always a simple or easy task, I feel it is highly necessary and
important to successfully integrate differentiation into my instruction. Through
differentiated instruction our needs as a teacher are met and the learning of
students are enhanced.
I realized that I need to be calm, patient and fair to all my students in order to win
their trust and create a favorable learning environment for them to ask questions
and get involve in their learning. I just be in silent and wait until they stop talking.
Day 3
One of the most and best thing about teaching is that there is an exact blueprint
for success. I believe that no teachers are the same. Each of us has their own
teaching style and classroom management.
As a teacher, we are the best actors and actresses to our learners because we
never bring our personal issues in school because it will distract our attention. We
must have an open communication with our pupils so that the pupils will feel at
ease and comfortable. After this inset I will be fair and consistent to whatever
decisions I made.
For now having a test construction will not be a new to instead it backs my
routine when I was in my former school when I am preparing a test.
Day 1
I realized that these kinds of pupils are the ones who need our love and
affection the most.
I hope I can always have this feeling when I’m with my pupils.
Day 2
Every learner has its own different way in acquiring knowledge, with
these reason as a teacher, I must try to consider in planning and carrying
out my teaching objectives, as well as the activities provided according to
the level of intellectual ability ad interest of the learners. By using varied
activities and strategies and learning to understand the pupils is of great
consideration, in the delivery of the lesson and success of the development
of learning of each student.
Day 3
DAY 1
REFLECTION
With the seminar on Dealing with difficult students, I realized some things. First, I
have to accept the negative things/behavior of my students. Without acceptance,
I will never be able to help them change their negative behavior. Second, I need
to believe that my difficult students have a future. Third, I have to find good
things about my students and focus on rewarding those good things. Always find
positive things. Lastly, I should discipline my students with empathy and respect.
I will try my best to apply what I have learned on this seminar. I have to start
positivity in my classroom and among my students and that starts in ME.
DAY 2
DAY 3
The topic on “24 Rules that Teachers Should Live By” served as a reminder for me
as to what kind of a teacher should I be. Honestly, I don’t live by some of the
rules. From now on, I will try my very best to live by all the rules. I will print out
these rules and put in a place where I could see all the time.
Another learning that I can take home today is how to construct test questions. As
a new teacher in Grade 1, I admit I am not yet very good at constructing test
questions. The talk helped me a lot and gave me know-how on this matter. I am
looking forward to more seminars like these.
LYN T. SELMO
REFLECTION
My reflection in our INSET for today is about dealing with difficult students
and positive discipline, Mr. Serrano discussed the untying the knot that has (4)
stands. A-stands for acceptance, this is the key to everything, B- stands for believe
in the future, it means your action has pour, C-stands for catch peoples right
which means to find something good in your pupils finally,D-stands for discipline
with empathy and respect always. There’s a formula for positivity accept
negativity and positive outlook than can be positive future and positive action
that can be a positive results. Always see the good and positive outlook of your
students so that the life of your pupils can be positive as good as they are. Help
your students in positive way.
REFLECTION
Today’s session I learned that what you gave give will comes back to you.
As a person if we give kindness, we begets kindness also. I also refreshed by
classroom observation tools-RPMS because of the discussion from our master
teacher Mrs. Guia Jumawid. She emphasize on the different indicators for us to be
clarified and attain our goal to reach for excellence and to get an outstanding
performance.
It so nice because the speaker Mrs. Rafael gives reward to the teacher who
actively participated in the discussion. During the test construction, I learn that
we should never use fill in the blanks in making test. We should use multiple
choice test so that the pupils will practice in answering multiple choice test.
In making a stem during multiple choice test, it must have a statement and
question. Before lunchtime, visitors from City Savings Bank introduce to us the
project PER@parasyon and its so good to hear because it encourage the teacher
to save for the future.

Reflections
October 29, 2018
What I liked about today’s session was about Imposing Positive Discipline
towards our pupils.
Being a teacher, sometimes I become more impatient when it comes to disciplining
my pupils. I have hard times in dealing with their attitudes particularly their bad
behaviour. From now on, I should have more patience and use different
approaches in dealing with my pupils with different attitudes. I will be more
careful with the words I uttered in front of them because I don’t want them to get
mad at me and would remember me as their worst teacher. I want them to go to
school not only because it is necessary but because of their teacher who takes care
of them as a second mother who will mold them and teach them good values. I will
also see the good in my pupils not jut their negative attitudes. Praising them when
they’ve done good things. I will also smile often and be more approachable and
willing to help with their needs. I will give respect because everyone deserves it
whether you’re a teacher or a pupil.
October 30, 2018
I have bee teaching for quite sometimes. It has been my struggle on how to
handle pupils having different behaviors. This school year I feel I have more pupils
who are habitually in trouble or making trouble inside the classroom. What I have
learned from today’s session was about how to deal with difficult pupils and
managing classroom situations. I also admit that sometimes I’m being impatient in
dealing with pupils who misbehave. From now on, I will focus on the entire class
and not just for a single
pupil who misbehave. In general, I will first get the attention of the whole class and
will talk to that pupil/pupils who is misbehave that caause distractions in class. I
will also use some strategies or techniques on how to deal will pupils having
different attitudes in class. I will be more efficient to become an effective teacher.
Accepting that pupils have different attitudes that you must deal with. believing
also that there is something good in them. That all you wanted was for them to
become a good person. Having good future and become a successful on in their
chosen field.
October 31, 2018
In today’s session, what I have learned was about tips teachers should lived
by. Being a teacher you are liable for the welfare of your pupils inside the school.
They are your most priority. Always thinking on how to give the best treatment for
them not only when it comes to academic but also giving good values that will
benefit them as a person. We must also build strong bond with our stakeholders our
parents. They are the one who will help us in molding our pupils to become good
citizen in the future. They are our partners and will be of big help in the activities
and other school related matters. And I remember that for us to become effective,
we teachers must also have time for ourselves to relax, give time to regain strength
to perform our duties well. We must also take care of ourselves most importantly
our health.
