    0 PURPOSE
    The purpose of this document is to define the design requirement of Production Separator
    at Qusahwira Central Degassing Station.
    One production separator is envisaged for Phase II. Section 3.0 through 6.0 lists the design
    requirements for a new Production Separator vessel.

    3.0 DESIGN BASIS


    The following table provides stream flow rates and property data of individual phase at the
    inlet of the new Production Separator for sizing purposes. Eight different HYSYS cases
    were developed to analyze the overall CDS design requirements in peak production years
    and the first year, for summer and winter operation. Estimated reservoir production rates
    with associated phase flow information are also provided on the next page for different
    production years. In order to simplify the sizing calculations for the new three phase
    production separator, only peak gas and liquid volumetric flow data from the eight
    simulation cases and the production profile summary table are summarized below.
    The new Production Separator is intended to operate in parallel with existing two
    production separators. The existing design can be referenced as a go-by for the new vessel
    dimensional details, operational requirements and material selection. The Phase-II CDS
    development assumed presence of 5000 ppmv H2S in produced gas coming from the
    Mender field. The eight simulation cases developed are targeting to represent the actual
    flow regimes from different gathering stations and well pads at CDS inlet manifolds.
    Assuming normal operating flows received from each formation has resulted into < 300
    ppmv H2S and ~ 2.7 mol % CO2 present in the gas stream separated from production
    separator. ADCO to provide further directions in regards to potential H2S excursions
    caused by flow upsets from different formations.
