Need for Blockchain
Loriini offers ERP Solutions with integration of Blockchain Technology to keep the transparency between
the sales and purchases. Blockchain is a decentralized, distributed and public ledger that is used to
record transactions across many computers so that any involved record cannot be altered.
Blockchain creates trust in the network. This network is secured and there will be no third party
interruption. It’s a p2p network.

Blockchain is a technology used to store the approved transactions between peer to peer
networks. By using this network, the data transferred is highly secure and can be transferred
without any third party interaction. It is a technology, which combines the cryptography and
distributed ledger. In simple way, we can describe the blockchain technology as a suite of
distributed ledger technologies that are programmed to record and track anything of existing
data.

Project Details

Scope of Work
This Proposal is for supply, implementation of ERP Solution with Blockchain integration to
maintain the transparency and creates trust in the network as it is a peer-to-peer network.

The scope of work is as follows:

1. Supply, implementation and support of Blockchain integration for ERP to cover the
processes in the organization with transparency between transactions and maintain
security between the transactions without any kind of third party interference.

2. Integration of Blockchain Technology maintains the records throughout the period with
the changes done in between sales and purchases transactions.

3. Loriini will be procuring hardware and database licenses separately and supply of
hardware is not a part of this RFP. However the ERP Implementer will provide suitable
industry standard hardware, network and infrastructure recommendation to support
transactions as per the business needs.
4. The Hardware recommendation is an important part of the evaluation of this RFP. This
hardware recommendation has to be submitted as per the schedule mentioned in the
section on “Project Timelines”.

Deliverables
The Blockchain integration with ERP shall include the following terms

1. Software

Supply, install and integrate with blockchain technology to facilitate the transparency
across the transactions held in the network.

2. Implementation Services

Our Team will develop a comprehensive and detailed approach and strategy to integrate
blockchain technology. Project Scope and Plan

a. Overall implementation plan and work plan (in phases)

b. Testing plan

c. Training plan

Customization and Development are subjected to the requirement and are set to the
best in industry. Wherever absolutely required Customization / Development should be
done in a manner that it gives a reasonable assurance of upward compatibility with
future versions of the platform.

3. Testing Services

Conduct testing for the system, application and any customized components. Testing
shall include different stages while developing the application.

4. Training

Functional and technical training to business & IT staff in operating and using the
solution including database and application software. ERP Implementer should provide
training on application software and other areas to the project team. The training
duration will be suggested by the ERP Implementer at their own premises. The test
environment required for the training has to be set up by our team before the training
commences.

5. Managing go-live event

We will provide a detailed list of specific activities for go live event. The project plan
submitted by the vendor must ensure that the activities are completed before the event.
Before the go-live event hardware procurement, purchase and deployment should be
completed. All training programs must be completed before the go live event. The go-
live event will be dependent on the successful UAT sign-off.

6. Hardware Requirements

We will provide the detailed configuration of the proposed Development, Test and
Production server environments as per the business and technical requirements.

The recommended hardware should be standard and should be best for using the
software application.

The recommended hardware and software should support the requirements for
minimum period of 5 years post the acceptance of the solution.

7. Network Requirements

The networking plan and architecture should meet high availability requirement and
high security standards. ERP Implementer should provide details of the network
requirements for the proposed solution.

8. Project Management

The manager/team will do the overall project management throughout the life cycle of
the project to ensure successful completion of the project. Project management will
include the following:

a. Suggest the hardware and network requirements.

b. Support evaluation of hardware and networking proposals for procurement.

c. Participate in all meetings.

d. Define and control project scope.

e. Monitor risk management aspects and project delays.


f. Ensure timely delivery of all the deliverable related to ERP as mentioned in this
RFP.

9. Change Management

Our team will ensure change management to ensure the successful implementation and
integration of blockchain technology.

Towards this end our technical team will give detail out a plan to ensure change
management focused on proper integration with blockchain technology.

10. Documentation

The first set of document is linked to functional, hardware and security specifications of
the project. The consultants will study the business processes and furnish the following
documents:

a. Project charter

b. Business Process Blueprint Document

c. Process Mapping with ERP and Gap analysis document

d. Security & Control Specifications

e. Hardware and networking plan

The Hardware and Networking plan should be provided as per the stipulated time
mentioned in “Project Timelines” within this document so that timelines could be
adhered to in terms of procurement of hardware.

The second set of deliverables is linked to realization of the Business Blue Print. This will
include installation and integration of blockchain technology, carrying out the
customization, and achieving specific developments.

a. Custom development functional specifications document.

b. Custom development technical specification document.

c. All user guides.

d. Installation procedure document.

e. Unit and integration test scripts.


f. System administrators routine maintenance procedure document.

g. Installation procedure document.

All documents should be handed over in three copies, legible, neatly and robustly bound on A-4
size, good-quality paper. Soft copies of the document in MS Word format will also be submitted
in CDs along with the hard copies. All documents will be in plain English .

The ERP Implementer should propose a project team which will be addressing all the needs of the
smooth implementation of the project including but not limited to the following roles

1. Project Director

4. Change Management Consultant

5. Functional Consultants

6. Certified Blockchain Developer/ Expert.

Project Location
The project will be executed from Loriini’s office in Visakhapatnam.

Expected Project Benefits


Quantification of benefits from the ERP system implementation is challenging and based on our
interactions with other agencies, most organizations have had limited success with this. One
example of such benefits would be the savings from automating budget checks which are
currently carried out manually by the Office of the Controller based on paper files received. This
functionality will free up resources for more value adding analytical tasks that need to be
performed in a best-practice based budget management environment.

The principal difficulty in establishing estimates of quantified benefits is the limited availability
of accurate and reliable baseline data (owing to manual or semi-manual processes currently in
existence) that would enable the progressive measurement of benefits. The Secretariat intends
to include benefits tracking as a key element of the project approach where business owners
would identify such benefits linked to functional capabilities within the system.

Project Manager
The Project Manager would be official who will be delegated responsibility for the day-to-day execution
of the project by the team. The responsibility for management of the project will lie with Loriini.

Oure ERP Functional team is responsible to create the business logic in sync with the new
system and make the necessary time financial investment. In addition to the resources brought
in by the External Implementing Partner, there would be a need for a strong internal core
project team in each functional area and to support the project management stream. This core
team will include at least one user lead for each functional area who is knowledgeable about
the business requirements and is authorized to take decisions on behalf of users . Implementing
a new ERP system inherently raises the need to address how the business should run now and
in the future. Creating new business processes, determining the necessary reporting, and
identifying possible software customizations require input from many areas of the organization.
Blockchain Integrators
Blockchain is a protocol and ledger for building an immutable historical record of transactions.
The ledgers are concurrently stored in multiple locations, and the entries are cryptographically
signed to prevent changes. An important success factor for blockchains in an enterprise
architecture is middleware. They need to be integrated with each other and several other
systems, communication protocols, and technologies in real time. Event handlers are
components configured to listen for changes to the blockchain or the connected endpoints, and
to automatically invoke appropriate enterprise logic in response to these changes. Event
handlers typically work in conjunction with the blockchain APIs and data distribution transport,
and may be bundled or created as micro-services within the enterprise architecture.

Technical Team Lead


A Tech Lead is a software engineer, responsible for leading a development team, and
responsible for the quality of its technical deliverables. Leading a development team is no easy
task. An effective Tech Lead establishes a technical vision with the development team and works
with developers to turn it into reality. Along the way, a Tech Lead takes on traits that other roles
may have, such as a Team Lead, Architect or Software Engineering Manager but they remain
hands-on with code. Maintaining a productive working environment for development teams.
Representing the technology perspective on a management or board level. Responsible for
overall IT headcount.
