NARRATIVE
On 02/14/2018, at approximately 2209 hours, I (Officer Lewis #131) and
recruit officer Gibson #128 responded to the Illini Union in reference to
a disorderly subject call. Upon arriving on scene I spoke with the
reporting person, identified as pointed to a group
of three subjects and stated I needed to speak with them about to the
incident.

I spoke with two subjects identified as

. Both subjects had the same story therefore I will only
reference stated that tonight there was a Student Government
meeting at 1900 hours in the Pine lounge of the Illini Union. said a
subject, identified as Breelyn Mehrtens, came to the meeting around 1900
hours and sat on an orange couch in the back of the room. stated
Mehrtens spoke towards the end of the public comment portion for
approximately five minutes. said Mehrtens spoke about many random
things that were "nonsense." stated Mehrtens briefly stayed on topic
and discussed the "Chief" issue which spiraled down hill to her talking
about her Native American heritage and how that was tied into the issues
Israel was currently facing.

said during the speech Mehrtens approached a random female and told
her to get off of her phone. The female replied by saying "No" because
she was dealing with a family issue. stated Mehrtens slammed the

table and said once again, "Get off of your phone!" said the female
stared at Mehrtens but continued to stay on her cell phone. stated
after the female did not cooperate with Mehrtens she gave up. said
Mehrtens' five minute time limit was up.

paraphrased a statement Mehrtens said during her five minute public

comment. Mehrtens stated, "I am going to be here every week! If you
think I am stalking you, Guess what, I am stalking! That's not funny I
have been stalked before."

stated they were alarmed and disturbed by Mehrtens

behavior but did not wish to pursue charges. wanted
this particular incident documented in case Mehrtens continued to be an
issue at their meetings.

said Mehrtens had been disruptive in every meeting the Student

Government has had since 01/17/2018. stated Mehrtens consistently
showed aggressive behavior patterns to the point where she got so mad she
threw a microphone on the ground and yelled at random people.

It should be noted Mehrtens is a part-time employee at KCPA.

NARRATIVE
On February 14, 2018 at 2214 hours I, Officer Alex Tran #113, responded to
the Illini Union (1401 W. Green, Urbana, IL), to investigate a harassment.
Officers Gibson and Lewis responded as well. I met with one of the
reporting parties, , at the Pine Lounge.

I spoke with while Officers Gibson and Lewis spoke with the other
reporting parties. stated he was a member of the student senate and
is typically the moderator for their weekly meeting. He advised there is a
public comment at the beginning of each meeting. Breelyn F. Mehrtens stood
up and addressed the student body during the public comment section of the
meeting.

advised Mehrtens addressed the counsel with regards to the Chief

Illiniwek issue, the Israeli referendum, and Mehrtens part time job as a
make up artist. advised Mehrtens was rambling, her topics were not
cohesive, and she switched between topics suddenly. observed
Mehrtens pacing back and forth in front of the student body, speaking
passionately. He witnessed Mehrtens approach a student sitting in the

front row and slammed her open hand on the table, startling the student.
said Mehrtens would consistently "stare down" the student president.
He advised Mehrtens told him, "I'm coming every week and stalking you".
advised Mehrtens her five minute time limit. Mehrtens stopped her
speech.

stated Mehrtens has attended the last five student senate meetings
this semester and gives a similar passionate, but disruptive speech. The
student senate meetings are every Wednesday and began on January 17, 2018.
This week Mehrtens behavior came close to striking another student and
this was also the first time she mentioned stalking. stated he was
alarmed and disturbed by Mehrtens behavior, but was concerned for Mehrtens
mental health. did not want to press charges.

also said he was concerned by many of Mehrtens public posts on

Facebook. He observed many posts regarding gun rights and was concerned
Mehrtens may potentially carry a firearm into the next meeting.

advised all meetings are recorded and he would email a copy of the
meeting minutes to me.
